  1. I'm sure I could hook them up to common events similar to how items and spells can load common events. Same with resources too.
  2. You can spawn and despawn npcs using events but thats about it.
  3. Don't feel stupid, we all started somewhere Intersect has a steep learning curve, we get questions from both advanced users who have been making similar MMO makers for years and newbies!
  4. You're using everything on the lowest layer possible, tiles you wish to render above other tiles put on the layer above the previous. Currently you have everything on the ground layer, keep your sand tiles on the ground layer and transfer your dirt transition tiles to the mask layer.
  5. This exactly. Only the fundamentals and essentials that everyone will use will be included within Intersect. We want to avoid 100 clones of every game having the same features and we want to encourage people to release source tutorials and their own private features to distinguish their games from the rest of the pack! Features we will avoid are graphic reliant features since they require removal from the engine if the user doesn't want them or does not process the graphical talent to work with them. per say, custom graphics for 8 directions.
  6. Very interesting but that will add up to a LOT of images long term. Coding a minimap system would be much better I feel.
  7. You'd have to write a converter for this. Why didnt your friend just connect to your server and make spells using the spell editor?

  11. You can still share some maps so we get a feel of inside your game. And jeez its suprising people are still using my code from when I was 13 LOL.

  16. The original post from @nippe should require some form work and a few logic changes which ill try to get around to for 3.0. A full fledged UI based system for leveling resource proficiencies will not happen in Intersect. We have said no against this a long time ago but its probably buried somewhere. There are too many variables that force a fantasy orpg style game with this in the base client or its completely redundant in a space/futuristic styled game without renaming resource types assuming they want the system at all. Either way it will be released as a source tutorial by someone.
  17. At the moment your map consists of cliffs, trees and a pathway. A little more detail is needed but you're on the right track.

  24. Last exam bossed :D Going away for the weekend with my girlfriend. Will be around the site a little. Will continue developing Intersect on monday! I've got some cool features planned like Bags in WoW and ammo for projectiles!
