  1. Watch as you place an autotile path.. the different tiles will "connect" to each other. A "fake" autotile let's you place a normal tile but other autotiles around it will "connect" to it as if it's part of the path. A "fake" autotile just pretends to be part of the autotiles around it. I do not have a good example or real-world use of the fake autotile.
  2. Whew.. you get like a 3rd of the way done really fast and then you get bombarded with questions on a single page lolz. I have completed your survey. Hope it helps!
  3. First off, read this thread in its entirety. Since then @SkywardRiver released Life Forge on steam and used real life encryption on his assets. Members here including myself, @Zeepanda, and @Crest gained access to his assets with <1hr of effort using entirely different methods/attacks. Even AAA games cannot protect their textures and models from being ripped out of memory. The whole topic is a waste of time. Truth is your assets will never be truly safe and anyone who needs to steal them to make a game will never amount to more than a thorn in your side.
  4. You are welcome to order a VPS through Michael's company but it will be just that, a Linux VPS. Meaning you will be in charge of setting it up, securing it, getting Intersect to work, doing backups, messing with the firewall/iptables, etc all on your own as if you bought a VPS from anywhere else. The benefit to the new system we are developing on will allow them to do all of that for you, so you can solely focus on your game.
  5. Thats going to happen but with the significant server-side performance upgrades in Beta 4 we are waiting until that is released to continue planning
  6. My tiny rant was a lot less for you and a lot more for anyone else who stumbles onto this topic considering this method. Should work, but makes you game a lot bigger in file size. Outside of that I'm not sure if there will be any issue.
  7. The whole point of tilesets is to have the minimum about of graphics to create a world like that. Now the obvious behind I think that will work.... let us know if it doesn't though.
  8. They shouldn't be. Looks like a bug. Mind making a report here? http://www.ascensiongamedev.com/community/bug_tracker/intersect/ We will investigate and update you on our progress.
  9. Not to mention bringing these options out of the source code allows for other developers to create UI design tools down the road. Keeping such options closed inside the code just makes modifications harder down the line.
  10. You show me yours and I'll show you mine
  11. Modified the OP. We added a Keybindings menu to Beta 4 a few weeks ago. I'm now working on making our client ui dynamic so you can relocate all ui elements via xml files
  12. This means you already have another application using Intersect's port(s). It is very likely that you are already running a Intersect server that's using that port so you cannot start another.
  13. I know you have this solved but alternative solutions to follow: For laptops without this key opening up the on screen keyboard is one workaround. Another option includes auto hot key software, for example you could write a script so every time you hit F12 (or enter random key here of your choosing) it would press insert for you. When the source is out you could also easily change the button via code
  14. Back flipping, front flipping, or bottle flipping?

  15. If someone posts them then we just gotta remove them again. Those resources are not to be shared. Without the original graphics it would require beyond extensive coding background to look at the code and figure out what everything should be. Maybe one day someone with the original graphics will create placeholders for everyone. It's unlikely, but until then this thread is for referencing the code and only the code which is available on Github. Topic Locked
  16. Tibbers!!!!!

  17. Updated the title to represent the question. No this is not currently possible and likely never will be considering Orion has dynamically sized maps and Intersect does not (upon several other issues).
  18. Definitely not something for the base engine. Source tutorials for stuff like this can come after the main release. I really don't want to add in communication with external APIs by default that wouldn't work if someone picked up Intersect a few years from now. APIs change and we don't want to be forced to keep up with them. Keeping the base engine as clean as possible is my preference.
  19. The Unity thing is only a thing I'm working on in my spare time, it doesn't even really work. You cannot "import" Intersect into anything without the source code regardless.
  20. *facepalm*
  21. That's a pretty shitty non-answer. At the very least link to a few artists who'd be willing to do the work. At the very least search the site, a quick search for item icons reveals these topics: If those don't give you what you need then Google might help, rpg maker resource sites will help, or you can make a resource request thread here if you can be very specific on the items and style you want. If you find anything good please share them with the community here. Goodluck!
  22. We really need to update that thread too. We have 4-5 tilesets done now and 2 more expected this weekend I think
  23. Default graphics are actually Macks from First Seed Material. There are similarities to RPG Makers.. and I wouldn't recommend using Macks graphics for a commercial game (a game you plan to sell or make money off of), but for hobby projects and free to play I think they will be perfectly fine.
  24. Sorry I haven't had the opportunity to comment sooner. Running through Mono on Linux, it is unable to read from the x86 vs x64 folders right now. Moving the contents of the appropriate folder into the /Server/ or /Server/libs/server folder will resolve this problem. Enjoy! JC
  25. Pretty sure this plugin system could be considered a form of rape but I'm oddly okay with it.
