  1. No need to download MonoGame on Linux. Just Mono in general. You can then launch the client and sever with the following commands: mono "Intersect Client.exe" and mono "Intersect Server.exe"
  2. So the editor does require DXGI 1.1 which is a DX11 component it seems. It looks like you can install it on Vista if you get the Microsoft KB971644 platform update. (Hard to find a link though, but I'm sure one is out there.) Long term we will be switching the editor to also use OpenGL so it will have the same exact operating requirements as the client. The client right now should be able to run on your machine there, which means that we shouldn't have any major concerns when it comes to restricting our player base.
  3. @Solstice: I made a new topic to continue this discussion... What's the actual laptop model? Processor? OS?
  4. I don't want to derail this topic but Intersect should work on almost all machines that support DX9 and OpenGL framebuffers. A very large majority.
  5. Et tu, Panda? I feel like this should have a combo-breaker rules. Like Kassie did 20, so the max you can attempt right now would be 30. If someone does 30 then everyone else gunning for 30 would have lost and then everyone can try 40, and so on. Just 2 thoughts from an admin who is about to have his forum rekt by this game.
  6. This whole thread is a giant shit post now. He is joking and means no offense
  7. Quest Markers on head: As for the other indicator that isn't possible with Intersect I dont think. They are using Orion with a LOT of custom code.
  8. That isn't something we are currently interested in. Maybe after source release we will consider controller support.
  9. It should be in the server/resources folder.
  10. @Melow417: Sorry about that, back online!
  11. Your PC also has a local address. On the server open command prompt and type in ipconfig and hit enter. The 192.168.X.X IP address is what you'll want to use internally.
  12. Due to security measures you often cannot connect to your public IP within your own network. On your PC keep the IP as localhost in that config.
  13. No, it's working without modification because you have a decent router that allows Intersect to request that ports be opened. So no manual config is necessary.
  14. Not when the server says it did it automatically and "Your game is accessible to the public!" No port forwarding is needed in this instance, and that config is correct.
  15. This is something we want to explore, but this feature in particular would require a ton of code and debugging time and there are major performance concerns to consider. The first step is to get the base engine out and see how well intersect games can handle a largeish player base. Once we have a decent idea of the engines performance and resource requirements under pressure we can potentially move on to tackling features like instancing.
  16. The UPnP message can be ignored, that simply means that you are not using a router within your network. You need to make an admin account for your server. Once the server is running open the client and hit register. The first account registered on your server will automatically be made an admin which you can then use to login to the editor.
  17. Introducing Sarah , she is often the reason why no work gets done around here.
  18. Still alive. Little sunburnt. Hope you all are doing well. Home soon!

  24. It looks like the Animation is setup incorrectly. Please see this page for how to set the Horizontal, Vertical, and Total Frame values: https://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/docs/en/Game_Design/Content_Editors/Animations/UsageExamples.html
