Baurah Online

"The Beginning of Chaos."

Overview

Baurah Online is a SandBox MMORPG immersed in a fantasy world ruled by two great factions in dispute over territories, power, resources and global reputation. In Baurah there are different types of Races and Classes that will give you unique gameplay and dynamics, exploring new territories, defeating different monsters and fighting side by side with your friends against your enemies.

  • Baurah is the central continent where conflict arises between two great factions (Gollik and Mezuk) divided on the map by a powerful city known as Throdok. Throdok's kingdom is so powerful that even the two warring factions couldn't even do anything against Throdok.

  • The division of factions began with a dispute over political and religious ideologies. In Throdok many living beings of different races coexist that over time were adapting to the culture of the Humans, they learned to survive them and also to live together, many of these trained together with the other races for a common good. In no reign of Baurah access is prohibited to any of these races, but not all share the same ideologies so it depends a lot on which side you belong to in Baurah. In this way, a player will be able to choose between 4 Races to select (Vermot/Humans, Mantl/Orcs, Lycan/Wolves, Nihles/Elfs)

  • In Baurah you can be a human assassin, orc or any race, there is no difference in this except for the fact of customizing the character that will make it different from the rest since not all are the same.

  • In Baurah you can choose between different skill branches. Taking into account that there are 4 types of classes (Rogue, Warrior, Mage, Priest). You can be a Rogue Assassin, to choose to be a Rogue Archer as well as a Priest Healer or a Priest of Improvements, you can be whatever you choose in your branch of skills, you will arm your character depending on the customization that you make both skills and points of statistics.

  • In Baurah there are conquerable islands, each faction can enter an exhaustive war against their enemies to conquer these islands that will generate resources and benefits for the victorious faction.

  • One of the most important events in Baurah is the well-known Faction War, where every day the warriors will be able to join the war on a continent outside of Baurah, the objective is to defeat the enemy fortress by killing the guards and the head of the strength. The victorious faction will be able to have the privilege of invading the enemy city, killing their allies, their camps, their source of power, their NPCs and thus obtain points redeemable for premium items. Throdok works as mediators between Gollik and Mezuk, therefore, Throdok is a neutral city that is in favor of peace on the continent, this means that Gollik and Mezuk cannot fight wars on the soil of Throdok or in its surroundings.

Lore

Chapter 1: The creation of the world and the gaps.

Spoiler

To understand the roots of war and why you, Knight, fight, we must seek knowledge of things forgotten by most people. The roots of our conflict are as deep as the very nature of the universe. The world was not always as it is today.

Lukam and Leran are beings that with their effort, and their impulses created materials with a reflection of their feelings. It was they who shaped what would become the world of Baurah with its high mountains, deep valleys and blue skies. Lukam created the sky together with Leran, Leran was also in charge of carving the rocks and giving meaning to the planet, Lukan for his part flooded the valleys and filled the oceans, he also created the Sun by begetting a son that he sent there to protect the land of darkness. The world was wonderful, like a diamond jewel hanging around the neck of the very Gods of the creation of this beautiful earth. However, the envy of others who were not included in the creation of the earth were not satisfied. They felt that there were important things that must have been on the earth after its creation, other things necessary to experience the splendor of the rivers, oceans and lakes, since the rocks and mountains were great, but there was no life.

From the energies that had been used to shape the mountains, two Gods known as Aetos and Eleos created life. Now there were fish to swim in the water and trees to grow on the land. Then animals and birds appeared to adorn the sky that was created by Lukam and Leran. And finally, as a request from Leran, humans were created, whom he created in the likeness of Lukam and Leran. Humans were like both in the sense that they too had the power to shape the world to suit their needs.

For a while everything was fine. The Gods were worshiped in the same way, they were called as such, Gods by humans, they were happy and all their creations rejoiced and prospered in the world that was given to them.

This would soon be undone.

In their rush to create humanity, the main Gods who gave life and meaning to the planet forgot to fill the souls of humans with fidelity to the Gods of creation. It did not take long from creation and prosperity for these humans to forget the Gods of creation and show worship towards the Gods who created the earth.

At first the Gods of creation were patient believing that fidelity was a matter of fashion and that they would believe in them again, but this was not the case.

"We created incompetent beings, incomplete with love, they forgot who their creators were," thought these Gods. "Maybe we can erase what we did and create beings faithful to ourselves again."

Lukam and Leran, the Gods of the Earth opposed the Gods of Creation in the decision to disappear human beings for the simple fact that they were their worshipers and erasing them from existence would be a total lack of loyalty to their followers, they couldn't afford it. The Gods of Creation were unhappy with the decisions thus creating a gap between both groups.

The Gods of Creation were filled with hatred, resentment and envy towards the Gods of Earth for the love of humans towards them. These bad energies that emanated from the Gods of Creation created the feeling of creating different types of living beings on earth with the same energy that the Gods emanated, that's right, the Gods created living beings in the likeness of human beings, although this time, hatred created different models; living beings that looked like wolves, ogres, elves, etc.

Unfortunately for them, not all the living beings they created came out 'perfect' in their likeness, the loyalty they sought. Many of these living beings lived together with humans and adapted to their culture, many others faithful to their principles created a two-sided division where beings faithful to the Gods of Creation hated the worshipers of the Gods of the Land. The division did not last long since they ended up adapting to the culture of the kingdom where they all lived together.

The Gods of Creation noticed that the beings they created were taking a different course than what they expected, many began to worship the Gods of the Earth because of the culture that humans had created in Baurah. It did not take long for the Gods to realize that this went beyond creation, it was the culture and beliefs that were imposed on those who came to those peoples, who in turn, were not aware of the existence of the gods.

During the creation of the last beings, different types of negative energy balls had fallen to earth in a place far removed from the realm of humans and living beings who worshiped the Gods of the Earth. These energy

Chapter 2: War of the Gods

Spoiler

The Earth Gods vision of a peaceful world had been shattered by the war between the Earth Gods and Creation, a dispute that began with the creation of sins imposed by Aspistabo, the Earth Gods felt a total betrayal of his principles when living beings were imposed the desires of greed and destruction. The Gods had the power to create but not to renew the mentalities of these beings.

This War in heaven caused living beings to feel the total abandonment of the Gods, while in heaven there were divine wars, on earth there were eternal wars. Mezuk and Gollik with the intention of implanting their ideologies resorted to violence, the blood spilled in the lands was not enough to stop the internal wars in the heavens.

While the world was at war, Aspistabo saw the opportunity to get away from the divine war and released his son, a fierce dark tiger with his eyes surrounded by flame that signifies hatred and aberration to peace and mercy. Skopos, the son of Aspistabo who implanted destruction in the world. Skopos attacked the skies with his fury creating a roar and an absolute darkness that was reflected on the earth with dark clouds and thunder that caused temporary deafness in living beings.

The noise was so great that the glaciers of the earth were breaking, the same glaciers that had trapped within them many deities carrying out their crimes for the idea of destruction, among them a ferocious giant beast, Lobe. This beast woke up with the destruction of the glacier that had trapped it for many decades. On the other hand, a woman in the form of a Centaur, with a human head and her hair of fire, had awakened out of her captivity under the rocks of the mountains created by Leran, mountains destroyed by the roar. A woman capable of turning burn to death just by looking into her eyes. Many beasts and deities were released from captivity where they served a sentence for their ideologies of destruction when the world was surrounded by an aura of peace.

While the Gods were in a hellish war, living beings suffered the ravages of wars on earth, fighting in favor of their ideals and against the beasts that threatened their well-being and that of their cities.

Chapter 3: Gollik, Mezuk and their compassion for life.

Spoiler

In the wake of the haunting battle between the Gods, and the appearance of the entities on earth, Baurah began to show signs of change. The flowers lost their scent, the seasons became unpredictable, and the groundwater occasionally turned brown, like rusty. And more changes were coming. All these things were not the work of the Gods. They were too busy in the endless war in the heavens that made them forget their work on earth.

Years passed, and in time humanity was divided into six great Kingdoms: Heimdallgar in the land of the Deserts; Vertums, famous for its magnificent harvests; Throdok, the city of commerce; Gollik, the realm of kind beings; and Mezuk, the realm of evil beings.

As these Realms formed, changes in the world affected not only existing creatures, but other things. With each passing year, there were more and more sightings of huge creatures that looked like wolves and bears, but were more terrifying and violent. Even more amazing were the stone and magical beings. Worst of all were the corpses determined to refuse death: living corpses with no purpose other than the destruction of the earth.

In no time, these infernal creatures had increased to such numbers that even the cities with their high walls and defenses could not repel them. The first to fall was Heimdallgar, for lack of food supplies. Soon after, Vertums fell. It was they who set their own city ablaze instead of dropping it. Survivors flocked aboard ships, fleeing to Gollik, many others to Mezuk.

King Gorzek, King of Gollik, welcomed the refugees without prejudice. Marzuk, the King of Mezuk did the same as Gorzek. The capable ones were assigned posts in the army, further strengthening the defenses of the only city that had not yet been attacked. Powerful walls were erected, supplies were brought in, and more weapons were forged. The inhabitants of Gollik and Mezuk were determined not to let their cities fall, and those who had already fled to the new cities were determined in their loyalty to their new home. Gollik and Mezuk had become the last stronghold of humanity. If it were lost, kind beings would be condemned to eternal suffering. Like the evil beings that had nothing to do with the beasts that ruled the earth.

Chapter 4: The prayers and glory of living beings.

Spoiler

For many years the monster masses were fought and during all those years the Kings of the three great Kingdoms prayed to the gods who seemed to have turned a deaf ear and turned a blind eye. Meanwhile, the people resisted and even grew stronger.

After the first two years of fighting, they had gotten used to the attacks. Their position was strong and their fighting skills improved. Finally, they dared to venture beyond the safety of the walls. The construction of tunnels in the mountains behind the city provided metals and wood that they collected by sending armed bands into the forests to fight the monsters that threatened the peace of their kingdoms. Food proved challenging at first, but by relocating much of the population to the mountains and underground, enough space was left within the walled city to plant crops.

By the third year, seasoned veterans began hunting monsters, rather than just waiting to repel attacks. These warriors brought stories of adventure and glory.

Factions

Faction: Mezuk

Mezuk is the representation of pure evil. The Gods of Greed blessed the leaders of Mezuk with an aura of destruction many years ago, and everyone who shared their ideology was destined for this blessing. At first the blessing caused chaos and misfortune in Baurah until the arrival of evil creatures that invaded the different kingdoms, it is rumored that this aura of destruction that surrounded the kingdom of Mezuk was vanished. The moment you crash into the border of Mezuk City, you will find red flags on different watchtowers.

Faction: Gollik

Unlike Mezuk, Gollik is the representation of goodness, goodwill, and the land of the reborn. The leader of Gollik is said to be a demigod son of a mighty God who demanded peace in the world and, as a consequence of his wishes, fathered his son in search of absolute peace. Rumors claim that he was born a year after the birth of the leader of Mezuk. In the ancient scriptures they claimed that the son of a God would come to the planet and destroy evil, with the devil himself. When you reach the border of Gollik, you will see the heavenly flags fly with great force at the guard posts.

Races

Race: Vermot

Vermot is called the humans in the land of Baurah. These beings stand out for their intelligence and their ability to solve critical situations with powerful ranged abilities that generate a great impact in battles. When using magic, these beings generally stand out with their Magic Power and Intelligence.

Race: Mantl

Mantl are the well-known Orcs who physically have many similarities to Vermot, however their intelligence is too low, but they have impenetrable defense and strength. Orcs generally tend to excel in those two respects; Strength and Defense.

Race: Lycan

The Lycan are a race of wolves that resemble a human being, can stand on two legs and have enough intelligence to reason and recognize between their friends and their enemies. Their reaction speed makes them a deadly weapon in wars, their attacks deal gigantic damage in a few seconds, they have the ability to slip out of any situation in seconds. Its particular points are Attack Speed and Vitality.

Race: Nihles

The Nihles are the well-known Elves that, like the Lycan, have an extraordinary reaction speed, however, their short-distance attack is their weakness, so their attacks are usually at long distances, being more effective than other races. Skill points are focused on Vitality and Attack Speed.

Classes

Class: Mage (High Magic Damage, Low Defense, Low Speed, Low Vitality) - AOE Damage

They are the classic magicians, in this case he uses a staff and spell books. Magicians have three different skill branches; fire, ice and earth, depending on the branch you choose, you can use invocations, powerful skills in area and even transport companions during combat. His recommended breed is the Vermot since in his mastery he unlocks a special ability. His skill branches are: Fire, Ice, Earth, and Mastery.

His damage is normal, he does not stand out unlike others but he is a tank by nature, his points in favor are Vitality, Strength and Defense in the end since his armor saves him the need to increase his defense. His recommended breed is the Mantl, as he unlocks a special ability in his mastery. His skill branches are: Defensive, Attack, Berserker, and Mastery.

Class: Rogue (Very Low Defense, High Attack, High Speed, High Vitality) - DPS

They are the classic assassins, the warriors in the dark waiting to stalk their victims. Their skills stand out in the use of skills to hide, increase their speed, among other qualities that make them stand out from others. They use daggers or bows and eventually small shields to reward their low level of defense, as assassins wear light armor. Its pros are attack speed and vitality. Their recommended race is the Lycan or Nihles, as they unlock special abilities in their mastery. His skill branches are: Assassin, Archer, Ranger, and Mastery.

Class: Priest (Very High Defense, Low Damage, Low Speed, High Vitality) - AOE Heal/Buff/Debuff

His attack is low like a conventional Priest, having the option of being a Damage Priest also granting higher damage. As conventional Priest they cannot actually be effective in their damage, however, their importance is vital in a war, since they can grant healing and spells to give more chances of survival to their companions; more life, speed, among other needs that can be important during the battle of factions or against monsters. They use shields and mallets to attack at short distances, with few effective attacks but very high defense. His points are defense and vitality. The recommended breed is Mantl. His skill branches are: Healing, Blessing, and Curse.

Heyyy! Finally someone who made a city larger than 4 to 6 houses!

Thank you very much for your comment. I will surely make many maps like that city.

The city mapping does look alright but personally I am one of those people who prefer the smaller city maps. Just seems like a lot of area to cover especially if there really isn’t a need for it. Now if each of the houses has something to offer then I would say covering that much area is worth it. If not, then it’s just forcing players to spend more time traveling. With all that aside, the map looks cool either way lol.

as for the UI, I like it. Nice and slick.

I am also one of those who prefer small maps but for this only time I chose to create a large city, being the main city, I plan that the other cities are smaller. There are still many details missing from the map that I will add over the days, although it has details, there is still a lot to work on there.

Take this opportunity to add a concept for the inventory window.

- We are pleased to announce the addition of a daily rewards system. The system is simple, a user will receive 28 gifts for 4 weeks, this event will take place after a month and their objects will be of the free type (that is, they will not be able to be traded)

- Magicians will be able to choose their initial elements; ice, fire, wind and earth. Then at level 40 they can choose their second specialization in elements, in this way they will use two types of abilities, I remind you that magicians can only use abilities of their chosen element and some other neutral ability.

  • 2 weeks later...

Throdok Town is almost ready, so we had the pleasure of beginning the first preparations to design the cities of both factions, Mezuk Castle and Gollik Castle. This is a small portion of what is still above these walls, soon there will be more images of the progress of both castles. For now, which side will you belong to? #GollikTeam:9_innocent: or #MezukTeam:71_smiling_imp:?
