Story Today I did this on my project...

Looks really good dude. The proportions are right, and no white space. It looks clean and efficient. I'd say a job well done, bud! Surprisingly enough, I like the text at the top even though it doesn't match the color scheme. -
I believe what you are referring to will require a source edit, an easy one. However, I could be wrong.

You are correct Some more beautiful artwork by @George that we'll be using.. Sorry for the quality, but heres a basic idea how the skills work (as cards). https://i.gyazo.com/c5c6438922d7e9010a896fd3dd641b39.mp4 Edit: this map is also coming along slowly but surely. Big image. -
Def weed, believe a joints in his hand.

So if you have Gimp downloaded, what you need to do in order to make it so you can make the background transparent, is add an Alpha Channel. To do this, at the top go to Layer, then under Transparency hit "Add Alpha Channel". Now when you delete the backgrounds, it should have checkered grey boxes, instead of white. Thats how you know you did it right. From there, if your having issues where its taking out part of the character, turn down the threshold. If you don't have the "tool options" up, go to Windows, Dockable Dialogs, and click on "Tool Options" there you can turn up or down the threshold. In this case, I think you'd want to turn it down. What the magic wand basically does is the pixel that you select it selects similar colors around that pixel so sometimes it grabs stuff you need, make sure the threshold is low and that you are clicking the background you want to remove. Play with the threshold a bit.

You have to make them transparent, and remove the background. Its easy to do so, use Paint.NET or Gimp. I personally prefer Gimp. Use the "Magic Wand" tool, and hit Delete on your keyboard, easy way to remove that background and make it transparent.

Palaces, churches, and marketplaces, oh my! Still very much incomplete Another big image warning. As DJ Khaled would say, another one! -
Oh my lord that looks fucking sweet! Looks like some League artwork or something, holy professional. Truly amazing all the art that comes from your project. Your project is radiating inspiration, I truly believe this project inspires many. (Including myself)

The beginning of something great Many of the tiles I need to fix or just weren't aligned properly, so if something looks extremely wrong or unfinished, it probably is. Big image warning. -
I agree, changing the text to fit the UI more would make a giant difference.

I think the latest one is actually the one I like the best. Good work man!

I know what he meant. So let’s say your making an anvil. You would map the anvil first. So it’s on the map and does nothing at first. Then select crafting table and place the attribute on the anvil. Believe that’s correct. You our will have to hit events, hit “Shop and Bank” and it’s under there.

For no experience it’s pretty good! I’d try and add little details, and add lighting. Lighting will give a lava map tones of character. Other than that, it’s actually pretty good for a standard lava cave. -
Looks splendid. I love it. Side scroller is my type of 2d game. Excited to see more!!!

Love it man, all looks great. Love how the ancient mushroom looks like the mushroom part is a top hat of sorts.

Lol I love these build posts they are awesome. Even though it’s cosmetic that coin door is beyond cool.

That is quite odd, I see what you mean. Its extremely odd to me because your spritesheet is already about as small as it can get.
-
Hmm, interesting. Could I also get a screenshot of what the name looks like above your character.
-
Give us your spritesheet, if you don't mind.

Yes, essentially they would just replace them, however, you can upgrade your cards. Perhaps you find card fragments. (3 stone helm fragments = 1 stone helm card). I’m sure not everything will be a card but instead of your general run of the mill, here’s armor and weapons, you collect cards and since it’s free roam you can choose freely.
-
Yes, exactly. I think the rewarding factor is big too, you’re absolutely right about that. I suppose, done right, it could include MORE strategy though, because it’s live action. I’d make most spells a projectile type mostly.

So recently I had, what I thought to be, a relatively interesting idea. It involves mixing the essentials of a trading card game, in an RPG. The idea is still very broad at the moment, but I'll go ahead and bullet idea's that what I've come with and that I think could probably be built upon further. No classes, so users get a free-roam type of experience. Cards will play essential in all aspects of the game. Cards will be sold, dropped, given from quests, etc. The range of cards you have determines your armor, spells, even weapons. So if you'd like, you could use Plate cards, having healing cards, and using 2 daggers, you can! The way you make your "deck" is completely up to you. Monsters occasionally drop their type of card. These cards can be turned in for various items, armors, spells, etc. Higher "boss" mob cards can be turned in for greater rewards. The battles would be live-action. So you play an animation of a card flipping, (card appears above casters head?) and the particular spell is used. I feel this would be the best for a great, fast-paced battle system while still using cards. That's all I could think of at this particular moment, feel like I had more ideas to put down so maybe they will come to me, but I'd like to know what you think, maybe give your own ideas, elaborate, and if you think a concept like this could be cool. I think it would be real fun to work on.
