  1. Heyo. Been thinking of making some new tutorials, video or written, for Intersect while we wait for the Source. This post is to test the waters and see if there's even a need for tutorials out there. Let me know if you'd like to see some more tutorials and, if so, what you'd like me to cover. Thanks!

  4. In light of the changes that have been made within the past year, the Life Forge team is happy to announce that we've completed our checklist. Now that we've caught up with all previous roadmap / announced ideas, We've opened up a new realm of possibilities for Life Forge!   5. Another map nearly finished for today. Still not sure how to properly show the depth/height of the cliffside, so for now I'm still using "false shadows"
  6. Some internal problems have arisen irl for some the devs. Try to be patient with them. They have to take care of themselves and those they care about first. I know they ARE trying to fix some bugs even while this is going on though

  9. I'm too busy with work and life to dedicate enough time to an active game like Life Forge at the moment. Currently Benjo and Zetasis along with some new blood are running Life Forge. If my current project ever comes to fruition, however, Life Forge Customers (peeps that have purchased items on Life Forge) will be rewarded for their purchases in the new game as well. (Though Life Forge is and will continue to remain updated, playable, and expanded upon)
  10. Had time to start a cave map today. Something interesting to note is that when using the screenshot feature, lights are displaced. @Kibbelz @panda
  11. Aye some of the cliff walls (namely the really big offender) is just out of the camera's view. 1 down and it looks weird when a player is standing there so I kind of had to cheat a little hehe. As for the shading going "up", I'm trying to experiment with it to see how else I can show how tall that mountain actually is. I don't want the players walking "behind" it so I'm trying to see what I can do to show it in 2d haha. And yeah, that field looks pretty bad when not connected haha. It's actually in a little valley, but yeah I might try to spruce it up haha. Thanks for the feedback!
  12. More work on mapping for the Unknown Project Been working on adding more shading to areas to make it flow a bit better. Let me know what you think and what I can improve on! I'm still a bit iffy on that "tree canopy" off the highrise of the mountain. We'll see I suppose.
  13. Had a day off of work today for a nice little change. Finally started work on my Intersect Project. Have half a journal full of notes that I can't really do anything with until Source is released, but in the meantime I can map out the game world. First map. (Not the starting position of the player obviously) If you haven't already, I would highly suggest downloading my little Shadows tileset I made for AGD. It's how I could do that nice overhang effect under the land bridge.

  18. A few days ago I finished the prototype build on the Lego Lightsaber. I get to wear it at work all day haha. Been way too busy for game dev lately, but I do have something in the works to show you eventually when it's done. Ciao
  19. So I work for Lego now, and star wars just came out, so I'm making these for myself and fellow employees. We get to carry them around at work lol. $60 + shipping a piece if you want one. They come in Blade Colors of Blue, Green, Red, or Purple with Hilt Colors of White, Black, or Painted Silver. Don't really expect any of you to wanna get one, but the option's there lol.

    Beneath the actual shadow tiles I made a solid white copy of the shadow shape. This is to help you select the shadow you want without having to have a white background.

  23. Made some new quests for Life Forge today. Also finished printing the pommel of "A Song of Ice and Fire"'s (and the show's (GOT)) Longclaw! Layer height - 0.2mm Time - 11 Hours End result - 9/10. Almost a perfect print!
