  2. I was skeptical at first, and still am just a bit, but this post has helped alleviate some of the negative thoughts I had towards this game. I would offer my services but my but my new daughter was just born and I’m probably going to be fairly busy for a while to say the least. Good luck on the project and I hope everything turn soon out great!

  5. Your line art doesn’t look bad but your sprites could use some shading. Not a bad start by any means though. Keep at it man.
  6. If you take the time to prepare the weapon images then yes. Editing images such as weapons to work as paperdolls isn’t very difficult.
  7. Just use the character generator to make paperdolls.
  8. So for a good amount of these questions I feel you’re going to need to at least get familiar with the Intersect engine first. Some of these questions are fairly simple but others are more complex and will require technical know how, which judging from the questions, you seem to lack at the current moment.     WIP Phazon Hunters

    This looks pretty cool. I’m also a huge fan of the Metroid series so I definitely want to check this one out. I’ve considered making a Metroid game myself but never could figure out how to go about it. Looks like you’ve done a pretty good job with the idea so I’m excited to see where it goes. Good luck and I’ll be keeping an eye on this one.

  11. There is an on-death trigger condition for events. That’s what you will want to look for.
  12. The player sprite looks like Samus. I like it.
  13. If you use auto tiles then it will cause you issues. Also, I think the way walking speed works is how fast you get from one tile to the next. So while you might be increasing the player speed it won’t look very fast if your tile grid is really small. I could be wrong on this one though. Lastly, I’m not 100% on this, but I think at some point your speed stat seems to not make much of a difference when entering a higher stat point range. For example, 150 speed might not be any different then 255 speed. Ill try and look into this a little more and come back with something solid that will hopefully be more helpful.
  14. A viewer on YouTube had mentioned how they were confused with the character Generator so I decided to make another quick video on how to use it. I hope double posting here is ok...
  15. I know it has been sometime since I last posted a video but Episode 3 is now out. In this next video I go over how to add custom images in Intersect. I go over sprites, tiles, items, paperdolls(briefly), resources, and animations. There is a part where I have some issues with the map editor but I'm pretty sure that was my own fault so sorry about that. Anyways, I hope this is helpful to people and if you like the video please give it a like and let me know what you would like to see next.
  16. I’m pretty sure your tile width and height need to be 48 x 48 if you’re using mv sized tiles.

  18. How are you triggering the event? The event should be set to action button for the trigger.
  19. You can change the tile size in the server configuration settings. Be aware, though, that by doing so you will need to either delete all the maps you have or just start with a fresh copy of intersect.

    WIP Dragon Runes

    The graphics do look good but I am very curious as to how they actually work. It may just be me but I feel like it would be kind of weird having a solid image as a map. I would like to see a video of the game in action.
  21. Just a quick question. I know Orion had an option in the code to give the player an attack frame. Is that still in the code for this engine? If so, might be a cool feature. Maybe even expand on it so npcs also have an attack frame and maybe add a casting animations for players and npcs. Just some thoughts.

  23. I like the effort but those items won’t work with time fantasy. Time Fantasy is resized by 200% the original pixel size and those items are not which means they will clash with the style. I’m on my phone though so I could be wrong but from what I can tell those items are not 200% the original pixel size.
