  1. Finished up the starting zone a few minutes ago, complete with four quests that will get you to level 2!
  2. The question mark is a actually separate event that changes depending on what "quest state" your character is in. If you're in progress, its a gray question mark. If you can turn in the quest, the question mark turns yellow. If they have a new quest for you, it becomes an exclamation point. I could make a tutorial on it if people are interested. https://gfycat.com/AptWillingBallpython.webm
  3. More quest shenanigans
  4. Working on another project with a friend while we're waiting for the source for our "main" game, using TimeFantasy tilesets, the new Intersect sprites, and just a touch of custom art.
  5. I had about 25-35 ping from MA, ran super smoothly.
  6. Check this out
  7. I’ve played a lot of WoW and more recently Destiny, and I think those are excellent examples for getting info on creating multi-user boss fights / encounters and understanding the mechanics behind them. I think anyone developing an ORPG should have some experience in an MMO to familiarize themselves with the “winning formulas” in terms of RPG design. Additionally, Undertale is a great example of how music, sounds, and dialogue can carry a graphically and fundamentally simple game.
  8. The new version will be separate of what you already have, so you'll have to either 1. start from scratch 2. use the converter to convert your files from 4.2 to 4.3
  9. top 2 rows: a bunch of NPCs bottom 2 rows: all the equippable gear for players level 1-5
  10. I made some level 5 gear sets for the level 1-5 zone.
  11. 1. Take your full sprite sheet 2. Add a paperdoll frame for each sprite frame 3. Erase the sprite below Your paperdoll sheets should be 4x4, just like your sprite sheets, so that each frame of the sprite has a corresponding paperdoll frame. Really, take a look at the guide I linked you.
  12. You can use pretty much any image editing software for paperdolling. I make all my art in Microsoft Paint and only use Paint.net to make backgrounds transparent, for example. Some really cool guy made a pretty neat tutorial on paperdolling, it should help you realize what the problem is with yours (which is that paperdolling does not automatically do all the work for you)
  13. Make sure the connection settings in your client are the same as your friends. Yours might be trying to connect to localhost still or something.
  14. I believe Intersect supports dynamically sized sprites, so in that case you would add them just like any other sprite.
  15. Depends on your games level cap and how you want leveling progression to work. There isn't one universal formula that'll work on every game.
  16. Feel free to use either of these, only two WIP screenshots of my game I have.

  18. I'm game
  19. Did more GUI stuff today (image)mdJaS6r.png

  20. Thanks man. My pixel art isn't amazing but I'm working on improving it.
  21. Thank you!
  22. You could implement systems like this yourself using Intersect's event system. There are guides on how to start using it on the forums if you look for them.
  23. Could've sworn I replied to this when I liked it, my bad. Thanks! I'll go more into the lore in the future once the game is a bit more developed along but I like to have a preface to make the world seem a little bigger and the player's actions to have motives, etc outside of just leveling and getting loot.
