Needs highlights, and actual texture. I highly suggest following several pixel art tutorials, or art in general to get a feel for what you want to accomplish. Certainly not a bad attempt. 6/10

Is this a night-time theme? If so, good otherwise it's too dark. All the colors are too saturated. The highlights are also too bright, since the objects aren't reflected or metal. Especially the wood. You should learn "hue shifting" on the web to give your palette a major boost as well. Other than that, they are nice pieces and the lighting is good. Some more texture might pay off as well. Overall: 7/10

This is just what I needed. I'm running vmfusion on a mac, with Windows 7 installed. Needless to say I couldn't install it either, so I will try the 4.5 and get back if I have success using vmfusion specifically. Thanks for the question and response.

To update people on the game. The graphics for this title have been completely revamped. Characters are still in work along with many boss and enemy sprites. We are also working out the core mechanics for the engine, and coding where necessary. Mapping has not started yet, as we are taking our time to flesh out the visuals, mechanics, and storyline first. However, we are super pumped about where it is going. As the storyline progresses (with the help of our dedicated writers), we saw the need for a new map which we hope to showcase soon. Here is an example of the new graphics style:

Report: The project hasn't died. Kibbelz and I are still chipping away at this one as progress on Intersect continues. A revamp of graphics is currently in the works, and I hope to have some updates to show soon. Stay tuned.
