I can most def see the changes dude, from your old grass and path tiles to what you have now, looks phenomenal.
-
Love it, testing it out now<3 WHATS THIS? YOU HAVE A SPELL CHECKER BUT I CANT CHANGE THE COLOR OF MY FONT.. Kidding<3 No, but on a serious note good idea to make it so people can change color of the font, lets say red, so it stands out to someone.

Good to have you man! You'll find a lot of us have come from communities like RPG Maker, so you'll fit right in! Great to have ya around hope to see ya more often!
-
I guess intersect cannot. Orion can though
-
I apologize then I must be to use to Orion which I believe can open shops in events.
-
Well, it's just an indicator. So all you gotta do is see its red, open character panel and see what the exact numbers are, but, I suppose you're right. Will be a little hard to see and notice being so small.
-
Bump! WereAlpaca has joined us an all around developer!! For now, we could use just one person for mapping alone, assisting me and Alpaca. Please know how to use the event system!
-
Not for what we need though. If I made the 3 circles indicators all I do is put a baugette, shower head, and zzz on a small green/yellow/red circle. Green means somewhere from 100%-75%, yellow means anywhere from 74% - 50% and red is below 50% or something. Not sure what to do, maybe just leave it in the character panel. For sure I'm not drawing new bars to the screen.
-
Thats a good idea, with the holes around the HUD. I'll see what I can do, thank you for the insight. I'm trying to avoid that cluster fuck GUI. Obviously if i do it that way you can still check exact numbers in the character panel.

So you would have a campfire in your tile set. You click the box displaying the graphic and select tile sets from the list and find the camp fire. Make sure you tick the box that says something like "Display this graphic" or something. Go into the shop editor and make a shop that trades raw fish for cooked fish, name it "Campfire". Save it. There should be an option to "Open Shop" in your Event Editor, click this and make it open shop "Campfire".
-
I believe what you are looking for is a crafting system, which both Intersect and Orion have, however you can still do this method if you'd like. Set the graphic to campfire, use the event to open shop "Campfire", go into shop editor and make raw fish for cooked fish and walah! But like I said seems you want crafting which is already implemented.

I like it, overall I didn't really know where you were going with it, but the end result wasn't too bad at all. Writing and lore is a very important piece to gameplay, I love writing. Some pointers I'd give are: 1. You talk about grapes a lot, and seems like just a filler to me. The grapes really don't seem to play a huge part into your storyline, however I could be wrong. Unless these grapes play a crucial role in your story I would go ahead and take out some of the vivid descriptions of the grapes. Also, the beginning of the second paragraph, need work. Bad lol. "The mountains mouth wasn't called that for nothing, well nothing is called something for nothing" should be just removed or re-edited. Sounds way too much like I'm having a conversation, not listening to a story. Other than that, it caught my attention as I was interested to see where you would go with it, it's pretty good! Best of luck in the future Id like to see more.

4GOE will feature sleep, hunger, and hygiene. Where do you guys personally think this should be displayed? Should I put more bars on the already pretty full in game interface to show users their levels of each bar? Or maybe add text/bars to the character panel, to avoid more clutter and users can check their levels every so often(with text notifications in chat like "You are hungry!!"). What do you think works better?

Graphics My first attempt as a spriter/animator
Giligis replied to Refur's topic in Design & Creativity
It's pretty good dude! For your first try it's really really well. The only thing that I notice needs help off the bat is the feet, which are always hard to create. Feet are round, I'd remove a few pixels or maybe just one from the very bottom of the foot to make it round. I think it's a little wierd how the crease in his pants comes and goes as he walks, but it makes sense. Maybe tone the color down just a bit so it's not such a difference. For your beginning steps, congratulations you did real well! The hair, eyes, and especially the fluent movement you all nailed! Even the tie movement is real good. -
I'll be using this for 4GoE, especially useful for devolpment and saves me the hassle of having to setup a web server and all that jazz. I will let you know how it goes!!!

Answers in this thread should help you out. Digital Ocean, OVH, linode, 1n1, InMotion.

Ahaha I apologize to a lot of people. My way of designing things is out there XD I preferred lowercase because the uppercase seemed to serious for my game, in a sort of way. I can't explain it very well, but I thought lower case fit for a more cutesy game, however I know it will bug some people. Yeah seems to be hit or miss here, I've gotten really good opinions about the action bar and then others say yeah it needs to go lol. I personally like it but I'll see what I can do to make it more appealing! I appreciate all the feedback guys, thank you!

As I can assume since its in the Intersect section, that you are using Intersect XD As far as specific server hosts go, I would have no idea, however, Intersect server can run on linux. Therefore, you should buy a linux based host, as it would be much cheaper than lets say, a windows host.

Thanks man, worked hard putting it together! Edit: Updated the main post with the final UI

Your english is good! Welcome to the community! Alot of us have come from communities like xtremeworld, Eclipse, etc. Funny, coming from (probably) the oldest member of the community<333

Thanks Refur! Means a lot to me! I appreciate the positive criticism. I wanted to emphasize the options because it contains changing screen size, I wanted it to stick out to players so it was easy to confine to what they need. Only made sense that I make a button to match hence the exit button I might change it for the future and make it indented or something like its engraved, not too sure! Anyways, thank you man! That "clean" style is what I'm trying to nail!

I'm still searching for an active mapper or developer to assist me on this project. If this is something you are interested in, please message me!! We have big things on the way!
