Looking good Kibbelz. I can't wait to see more.
-
Looks good. I don't like how the floor and the lower wall of the building has the same texture just ones darker. Also there's no border that meets with the floor and wall. All in all though, looks pretty good.

Merry Christmas to you to man! Enjoy!

8 bit shit... I love retro graphics personally. Anyways, I can't wait to see what you throw together. I've always wondered why intersect didn't just use LPC graphics since they're free and rpg maker isn't but now that you have decided to make custom graphics that shouldn't be a problem.

He makes a good point about how at some point in time there will be a catastrophe that kills a lot of people due to software. He also gave me the feeling that I need to start learning how to program because one day programming may actually be something that is a must know.

Life Forge Christmas Play-Test (OUT NOW!)
Zetasis replied to SkywardRiver's topic in General Discussion
I'm currently without internet acces, besides my phone, and am working two jobs. I'm not sure if I'll be online or not for this next event but I'm going to try my hardest to be there. @SkywardRiver is going to be working like crazy to get this stuff done and ready and I personally want to thank him for his dedication and really stepping up in my absence. -
I won't be gone forever, I just have to take sometime off to get things taken care of for myself and my family. I fully trust @SkywardRiver will do an excellent job on Life Forge while I am gone. Also, Armistin is looking pretty awesome so far Sky!

@Dr.House,I can see where some of the symmetry problems are, and thanks for pointing those out. Now that I notice them I feel I must go back and fix it. As for the randomness, most of what you pointed out are resources and are used for gathering materials so I'm not entirely sure I agree with you there, but that being said, I will continue to study your points and try and improve. Thanks again for the feedback.
-
@Dr.House, thanks for the feedback! As @SkywardRiver noted, you are only seeing a small portion of the map so maybe if you were to see the whole picture you might feel a little different. I agree that mapping is an art and with like all art, one can only get better with practice. We appreciate the constructive criticism and definitely keep it in mind when mapping future locations in the world of Life Forge. To everyone else: Thank you for taking time out of your day to view our progress! I feel positive when I say that the entire team is pumped for Life Forge and really enjoy getting feedback from everyone. Your feedback is very motivating and helps us to become better game developers so, please, keep it coming! As always, the team and I are working very aggressively to get content created and out for everyone to enjoy so please keep an eye out! We have a special holiday event planned which I think will satisfy the fans of Life Forge and make the holidays just that much more fun! More info will be available once we feel we have a decent amount to share and show off.

Love that pic man. We're knocking out the content everyday so keep an eye out. We're also planning a holiday event, I'll post more when we get closer to finishing!

Oh wow I remember this game! Thanks for adding me into the credits, even though I'm not entirely sure I'm there. Going to download the engine and check it out.
-
Hahahaha, that logo is awesome. If I were Grizzy I would definitely use it! Good job Corey!
-
Glad you like the maps and tiles. We're getting closer everyday to a release so keep a look out. Also, Sky those new armors look great man.
-
Haha, well I don't have a camera but I do have a mic. I only use the mic occasionally if people are watching so you might get to hear my voice. Like I said, I stream when I get off work at around 1 am central time. You live in the U.K. or there about so you're like 6 hours or so ahead of me so it would be like 7 am for you.
-
Thanks and will do!
-
Hey guys I recently started live streaming game development as well as other things and it would be great if you guys would be so kind to follow me. I've been streaming almost everyday so far and it's usually after I get off work around 1 am central time. On my days off it is a little earlier so if you're interested please check out my channel at https://www.twitch.tv/zetasis Thanks for your time and especially thanks to those who decide to follow.

Dude, no way! I remember you for sure. You had all the awesome pixel art stuff.

G2D... Man that brings back some memories. I was a moderator there back in the day. I think what happened is the one programmer Devo trusted disappeared and the community slowly started dying after that. Anyways, I think I actually have a copy of the source. I'm not sure I can release it though seeing how its not really mine to give away. I'll try and get in contact with Devo and see what he thinks. If he gives the ok I'll put it up for download.

So if you start out in pallet town does that mean this is set in the kento region? I've always wanted to see a fan made Pokémon game that had its own custom and unique region but people always use regions from the games... other then that the game sounds like it could be pretty good. I'll keep an eye on this.

Hey guys! So we've got some exciting stuff to share! ~In-Game Cash Shop~ A player can access the ingame shop by clicking the chest icon next the status bar! Here is what the ingame shop currently looks like. Please keep in mind the look and style may change and we will also be adding more to the shop as well! Before I go any further with this, those of us on the team want to make it abundantly clear: We are not, nor will we ever, sell power for cash. Cosmetics, Memberships, and Convenience are all we shall ever sell. Now then, with that business out of the way, let's talk about the feature! You may have played other games of this style and may have been annoyed to find that your purchases were merely put on a list for a dev or two to look through at the end of each day and deliver your purchases manually. We really didn't want to make players wait that long to receive their goods, so we put the cash shop right in the game! Purchases are delivered by our Server just moments after purchase! Be it a Membership, a World Blessing Item, or a Cosmetic, you'll get your items immediately! ~Crafting~ We've made some major improvements to our old crafting system. Now you'll have to take your materials to stations and refine and craft there. Some recipes won't be displayed until you use a Recipe item and discover them! This lets us create rare recipe drops from tough enemies that, when read, allow you to craft some great gear! We can't wait to show you all what we have in store! ~Content~ Our in-game content is growing by the day! Before too long we'll have enough to set up our IndieGoGo and Kickstarter Campaigns! We hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it! ~Life Forge Wiki~ http://lifeforge.wikia.com/wiki/LifeForge_Wiki In the wiki we plan to have all items, monsters, recipes, etc... Check it out and let us know what you think! Anywho, that's all for this Dev Log, lads and lasses. Sorry it's a short one! We'll have more and more news as the days go by! ~Life Forge Team

We're actually using @SkywardRivers engine. We do plan on transferring to intersect eventually but not sure when that will happen.
-
I wish you luck on your fund raising! Can't wait to check out the game!

So how does the server request say usernames, from the authentication server since the default server provided has no packets, from what I can tell, that communicates with the authentication server?

Isn't this written in VB6? If so you need Visual Basic6 to open the source.
