  1. Beautiful! Thank you good Sir I can officially add all my items now! Cheers
  2. Ya! I feel like it would really help make the gameplay smoother. Like in RS where if you put on a chestplate, it adjusts to the male and female bodies.
  3. Hey there! I understand that gender specific equipment will be coming at some point, I'm just curious as to what method you'll be using. Will there be two paperdoll options for equipment? Or will you limit equipment by gender? Perhaps both to allow users to have unisex and single gender items? EX: I have a Murr set of armour for both Male and Female only the Hat can be worn by both genders, for the shirt will I have the option to set Murr Shirt (F) paperdoll then Murr Shirt (M) paperdoll for the Murr Shirt item, or will I have one Female Murr Shirt item then a separate Male Murr Shirt item? Appreciate everything, cheers! Edit: The reason I'm asking instead of waiting is so I can start getting my Items set up in the editor
  4. This is a great question! So basically you want a class to be inaccessible from character creation? Correct?
  5. That's no worries! Everyone around the forum encourages good questions to be asked. If you search in the bar at the top right >^ and can't find what you're looking for - please always ask using this forum! That way the next person with your question CAN find it from the search engine. I'm glad it worked for you, and don't feel bad about not being able to find the answer, it was buried in a completely different post. Happy game making!
  6. I believe this was answered in a round about way elsewhere... scuse' me while I dig: In Topic: "You can edit this manually first download a database editor then open up Server\resources\intersect.db and manually change your name, password, gold, exp, level or sprite (I'm using this to give admins exclusive characters)" Paraphrase - "Which editor should I use?" " I use db browsers for SQ lite" Should be able to directly change database files by following this!
  7. To elaborate on his question - is it possible to render a pixel perfect overlay on the screen? No distortion or aliasing? I can see how this difference could make or break several concepts using the overlay system. Thank you for your thorough answers! Love how those light beams look, definitely going to play with the overlays a bit now. Edit: I understand that he wanted a grid so he could see how it lines up in game, however I feel this question ties into his original point quite well.
  8. Type in google Define: word here I just got Sprite: a computer graphic that may be moved on-screen and otherwise manipulated as a single entity.
  9. Yep! and thanks man. Once I start adding more tiles and fleshing out the current tiles - it'll come together nicely I believe
  10. Finished setting up! http://picpaste.com/das-C9QgxIv0.png have a peak NOTE: Tiles are temporary and just for testing very early and actually not 100% mine.
  11. Yep! It's totally integrated. Just auto tile features are broken and it doesn't adjust zoom so everything is very tiny I will be going with resized tiles for now, but once it's open source where I can change these things - or it gets better support on open source release - I will switch over to x16. Cool stuff!
  12. Ya I figured it would be integrated deeply. I just decided to resize. The bottom of my sprite actually fits in 32x32 while it goes up x16 so I may not even have to adjust the hitbox. Reason being: it just shows the selection box on the bottom two thirds of my sprite. The sprite actually matches nicely with up against walls. Only concern is whether or not the top half of the body not being hit by projectiles affects the gameplay. For now it works wonder, but I'll likely have to adjust the hitbox to be pixel specific anyyyyyywaaaayyyys, because I'd like accurate handling of projectiles - kind of going for an action rpg style. When it comes to pixel movement it will actually be nicer with the doubled sprites - will appear as if the player has twice as much control pretty stoked. Think it will work out in the long run. Edit: My sprites are actually about 16x24 and resized to 32x48 to match the game. They occupy more space than the normal sprites, they're just sprited with a taller ratio but in less pixels. I didn't know I could change this option in server config so I'll try it now.
  13. Is there planned support for 16x16 tiles? This includes support of actors/autmapping/animations etc. If not, how feasible is this after release? Edit: I realized this is already possible by simply doubling the size of all sprites (facepalm) anyways thanks anyways haha
  14. Looks like the old version is too large to be a VX sprite. I believe this is why you're having trouble. Cross check the dimensions of your original sprite and an XP sprite to be sure! Also cross check with VX sized sprites for good measure. Good luck and if this doesn't hopefully someone with experience with this converter can get the right answer
  15. Thank you for sharing a cohesive list of all the LPC resources! I was looking at them the other day, however it was very tedious finding all the assets. Cheers & +1
  16. Asking questions is always encouraged! If someone ever has your same question, they can find their answer through the searchbar/google. Also, I'm fairly sure that you need to get a bigger enemy with an upscaled version of the character proportion. So if the player is 32x48 then something 64x96 should work as well, as long as it's scaled and place properly on a grid. Just think in rectangles with the ratio of 4x6, aligned in a grid 4x4. Edit: What Gave said ^^ it renders but doesn't have the right hitbox
  17. It's already set up like that just right click and save the first image. Put it in the tilesets folder! Should work like a charm. Don't forget to restart server and editor once the files are added.
  18. This is the proper way. Open the class editor. Choose the class you want to edit from the left list. Check mark whether or not the sprite will be female or male. The dropbox below the female option is the folder "Entities" in the resources. Put your paperdoll in that folder, then you can select it from the dropbox. Once you have the gender and sprite chosen, click the "Add" button. Voila. Remember to relaunch server and editor when you added files to your resources folder. Let me know if it's still unclear.
  19. Content Editor > Class Editor > New Class (or select a different one) > Dropbox below Male/Female option > Add in the list to the right of the preview I believe this is a mini database for sprites that class can use, probably put all gender and skin colour variants in there. Not entirely sure just what I can tell from playing with it. Edit: for missing steps
  20. You just need a naked version of the sprite and then replace it with the character sprite. Try googly MACK RPG sprites paperdoll or something.
  21. Not actually I tend to get a laugh out of making people feel uncomfortable. Happens a lot when I'm drunk xD
  22. Did some modelling for you guys. Hope someone wacks off to it. Have fun.
  23. Now that we have the mods and JC involved it simply means we've leveled up Also 3
  24. Yep, I played the heck outta Pkm Cyrus. The developers moved on to some pretty big things though.
