Hey everyone! Thanks for taking your time to come check out my fun little project. I'm excited to not only create something fun people may enjoy but to also expand my skill set along the way. Once the engine (Intersect) if fully released I plan to expand my coding abilities while also having fun working on this title. I currently have been teaching myself C++ as well as Python (Just finished Python Crash Course 2nd Edition). In addition to that I will also be doing all the graphical work, music production/composition and whatever I can myself... However enough about that, please join me as I explain the concept I have come up with in my head that may not be as cool as I think it is.. lol. Phantom Farm will be a 2D MORPG slathered with sexy 80s style/chiptune music. It will be a darker toned game that might remind you slightly of Stranger Things meets Ghostbusters. The universe will be set with two sides. Tho good and evil might not be as clear as some other RPGs the "light and dark" worlds will be very clearly defined. There will be two identical worlds where battles will ensue to take primary control of the Universe. There will be two identical worlds parallel to one another just with different stories, characters, and atmospheres. PVP based battles will occur and the winners will take control of the parallel universes AOB. I'm actually still trying to figure out exactly how this will work (Please slap some of yalls amazing suggestions around, I am always open to new ideas and crit), the general idea of the thing is each world trying to over take the other side. Players who contribute the most during battles will accumulate PVP points that will be tallied at the end of the day and posted on the website where the leaderboards will be available 24/7. (Leaderboards will likely be updated based on EST). I have no specific ideas down yet when it comes to story but I hope to have that done once I get more done with the graphical work and the idea more clairvoyant and understandable. I've already purchased a server and will allow anyone to hop on that might want to just come hang around and socialize. One of my primary focuses of education during the creation of this will be learning how to cultivate and create a well functioning social environment for players. Here is some advice. If you are a true Dragonball and Pokemon lover pay homage to them by creating your own set of storylines and worlds, and just loosely base some of the things you make off of theirs. A lot of animes have used DB and Pokemon for inspiration and made their own unique product. If you love something, don't steal it, don't clone it.. Let it inspire you to create and bring beautiful new things into this world. Create something from your mind and imagination my friend. I've seen a million clones of these games fail.. Yet I've never seen an unique idea fail, because when it comes to creativity and bettering yourself daily... Nobody can lose.

Thats honestly just what I planned on doing so I'll just wait until then, just wanted to see if I was overlooking an easier way. My toons sprites have over sized heads and are 64x32. so if I lowered it down everyone would have to be bald, lol. But that normally would be the best solution, so thank you very much bud!!

What should I do? I'm honestly puzzled.

Do you see how far above everyones names are? Is that an issue or nah? It kinda erks me, but would it be seen as an annoyance to a player? EDIT: More Importantly, how can I fix this?

Hey whats up guys!! I've been off and on recently, some of you may remember me. Some may not. If not very nice to meet you!! I used to have a project called Hippapiffapoof that I was never able to dedicate the time to get up and running so after some time off, working on some things in my personal life I've decided to come back at it with a more casual approach. This is a fun hobby and something I hope to share with you guys as it progresses. Simply put I'm going to create an internal main quest line that has an RPG feel to it, while also incorporating an orpg community. I want to create a dynamic community by having small mini games within that you can master and be ranked at that will display on the website. (mini games like chess, etc etc). I want to focus on battlegrounds, and just pretty much being busy. I want there to always be something to do regardless of what you want to do or what you want the game to mean to you. Sort of like a social media outlook/meets a game.. I know it's a bit odd, but it's something I look to work on that I think will be fun. That's the concept and I plan to run with it from there. I currently am mapping and using many of my old GFX from Hippapiffapoof. Same with the music, graphics, and concept are all originally done by me. Also I have work for people who want to make some extra cash. Small things like items, GUI's, and Enemy NPCs, are things I really could be okay with not making myself. So if interested please DM me and maybe we can work something out and I can get some cash put back into the community!!

Pretty much that, does anyone know of any good places or good people? I want to make as much GFX as I can myself, but I've found I'll have to cut some corners, and enemy NPCs seems like a decent way to go. Also I am paying, and looking to purchase.

That looks 1000x better. Great job dude! Improve and and always improving your craft is more important than anything else. Have you ever tried weapons, armor, or making your own sprites/NPCs? Or is this generally the first thing you've ever done? Id love to talk to you more if you want to add me on Skype or another form of social media i could help you more in real time! Im no expert, but it's always fun to have someone to share you art with and bounce ideas off of!! anyways tho, keep up he great work!!

You're doing a great job, don't get discouraged!!! I'm no expert, but give this a try, use a little more color extremes.. Look at this example here: Do you see how the head has a dark section and a much lighter section? The lighter section is reflecting where light is hitting it. Using lighting techniques such as these helps create the illusion the character is not "flat". This should help explain a few things I did not: If you have any questions or need any help feel free to PM me! As the title says does the Engine accept Gif Files or do they all need to be in the same current format? This also applies for weapons when it comes to using animated weapons.
