Question

Help! I'm having the same problem than this guy!!

I was so hyped to be making my mmorpg, im using windows 10, whenever i try to launch the client. It crashes and thats the error showing in the logs. Heres a picture of the logs for further details.

https://ibb.co/b6Wnax

I tried the Fix posted by someone in the other thread. Doesn't work. I tried removing everything except the client and the pdb file. And when launching it it creates those.

https://ibb.co/ezNcax

Can't wait for this to be fixed, I'm currently waiting for an answer as i'm so hyped to start making that mmo.

Also, sorry for the poor image quality!

Thank you!

Edit: It seems that an older version of intersect might work? Like Beta 3.1 or something. If this is unfixable, how do i get the beta 3.1 at least? :/ thanks again.

RE EDIT: I found the 3.1 version ... doesn't work.

Go back to that bug report and read the comments?

The bug report was irrelevant though, even in the title (not Windows 10)?

Fix will be in 4.9 I believe. That’s a fix for now? Anyways, searching the topic you posted you should’ve found this yourself.

No it won't. His pictures are distinctly Windows 10, and that bug was Linux.

If anyone read the error log he took a picture of this, this is the crash he's actually encountering, and no it doesn't have a fix because it's not a bug:

I imagine Alpha 1.9 or whatever back when Intersect used DirectX wouldn't fail, but we don't use The DirectX MonoGame backend anymore.

Alright so I'm not sure about all you said there but yes, that other thread was for linux and I'm using win10.

I also THINK it might be that my pc doesnt support openGl 3.0 or something? I don't know what's the problem.. That's not what the error says.

Also, I can run the editor lol

Edit: My system supports OpenGl 3.0 AND 3.1

I think the client use opengl 3.2, the editor use directx so that's why you can run it.

There are cases where your driver/graphic card reports supporting OpenGL 3 but don't actually offer every feature of that. Once the engine tries to load that feature it fails.

In the case of the Intel HD Graphics, there are some drivers (especially in windows 10) that support everything Intersect requires, but you have to hack the driver files to actually use those features.

It's really weird...

Ok so do you know how to "hack" the drivers? Not asking for a tutorial, but a bit of help :P

Thank you!

Well you can try updating your drivers first, the last version from the one you're using is from 2k16

Edit:

send the output of gpu-z also, i may be able to help you find the driver

I've read it, I tried to download the ddl patcher thing, but it's a dead link. It shows this error in my web page: Server error, invalid file retreived, tell JC!Error reobtaining file! 404!

Edit: Just noticed it says "tell JC" lol

Alright I'll wait here for the link thanks :)

Or ya know, don't and risk the virus instead... :4_joy: It actually makes sense for some opengl features to not work since your driver is 2 years out of date. And its so much easier than installing some hacked risky driver

Edit: your other post didn't show up... my b, That can't be right, your drivers are ahead of 2015, i don't think you were looking at the right ones
