    [Suggestion] Intersect UI.

But surely, additional images like in your example should be added as seperate images in the xml/json file as additional layers, since the borders would be a common element that users would want to keep the same across the project to prevent inconsistencies. Guess we will await source release
  2. The current UI scheme (as seen in the game/resources/gui folder) is messy af. You have several files serving a specific purpose instead of reusing resources. The following files for example: entitybox.png erroractive.png friendsactive.png inputactive.png inventoryactive.png itemdescpanel.png partyactive.png questsactive.png questwindow.png shopactive.png spellsactive.png tradeactive.png All have their own images set at specific sizes, instead of using a smaller image that stretches out to fit the required window size. This would allow you to add more windows so much easier than having to create a new resource object each time. It would also save on memory by not having to pre-load all the window images, you would just need to load one smaller resource file and stretch it out to fit. (Similar to RPGMaker). Also, for files that have different states, you should have these set similar to a walking sprite, where you have for example: leftarrowclicked.png leftarrowhover.png leftarrownormal.png in one image. Then when the state of the item changes, the left top origin of the image changes to suit. Ideally, you need to have the resources for Intersect set up the same way as the debug software has it (see defaultskin.png) This would make customization so much easier for users.

    NPC Collision

For tracking and organizational purposes, please include ONLY ONE bug or suggestion per report. Thank you! Reports not in English will be removed. /////////////////////////////////////////////////// Error Description /////////////////////////////////////////////////// Using the demo game. NPC's that move around randomly will merge with the player if they both attempt to walk on the same spot at the same time. /////////////////////////////////////////////////// Replication Steps /////////////////////////////////////////////////// Walk around the town and find an NPC that walks around on it's own, hover around it and eventually you will both end up on top of each other, even though the player and the NPC are supposed to be colliding. /////////////////////////////////////////////////// Attach Screenshots/Other media //////////////////////////////////////////////////// /////////////////////////////////////////////////// Attach Error Logs //////////////////////////////////////////////////// If you are using Intersect, please find and attach BOTH your Client/Resources/Logs folder and Server/Resources/Logs folder to help us debug your problem. Without these logs we often cannot fix bugs in the engine. http://ascensiongamedev.com/resources/filehost/3d713d2e7ef71d4b83f711ed556a184b.log

    Trouble opening client?

Looks like you may have an issue with your sound device. Can you try plugging in some headphones and trying to launch it again?

  8. I think this is a left over template file and isn’t used as it is not referenced in either of the xml files in the resources folder. Edit: Didn't know about the debug menu/admin menu!

    [Release] TheMeq's Font Packs

Hi all, i've released lots and lots of fonts for people to use in their games. You can find them at the link below. These are all the standard windows fonts (And a few extra's) from character #32 to #126 converted to XNB. If you want a font doing that isn't in the pack, please send me a message with the font name, a link to the font, a first character and last character to convert, and i'll get right on it! Files are named in the following format: __FONTNAME_FONTSIZE_FONTTYPE__.xnb Where Font Size is pt 8 to pt 26 and Font Type is 0 - 3 0 - Regular 1 - Bold 2 - Italics 3 - Bold / Italics To use these, open the zip file from the download and choose your font. You then want to select all the fonts matching the same name and font type (ie, Arial_8_0.xnb, Arial_10_0.xnb, Arial_12_0.xnb), and copy them to the fonts folder in your resources folder. You will need to rename these to remove the _FONTTYPE from the end of the file name, so you are left with Arial_8.xnb, Arial_10.xnb, Arial_12.xnb ect; You then need to open config.xml and change the <Font> Tag to match the selected font in lowercase. (ie Arial -> arial, Tahoma > tahom, Times New Roman > times new roman). Then try it out by launching your game. The font will show in the chat field and on tool tips. Enjoy!
