Orion+ is VB.NET while all older Eclipses are VB6, that itself is worth changing over. That being said, Eclipse engines aren't bad, I just don't look at them as good either lol.

- making the game to be online
- port
- (and 2 more)

You will have to go into your router settings and port forward. http://www.portforward.com once you port forwarded, you go into Resources >> Config.XML, open it with Notepad and edit <Host>Localhost</host> to your IP from this website: http://whatismyip.org

Good ol' Devogen. He was great with UI's and banners etc but he could never finish anything he started, quite like me XD
-
No, not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying we can't just take your WORD. This is the internet, we've never seen or conducted a stress test of that sort so we are really quite unsure it can handle it.
-
I was the same way until JC informed me otherwise
-
But still loading all maps that might be necessary. I believe that was his idea!
-
We have 0 proof of this, we can't just say "Yes, you can" because Z3ktrix came on the thread and said we could. We need solid proof and evidence that this is what it can handle, not just someones word. No offense
-
This is actually some-what correct. It must be a .png file but you can name your tilesets and entities, and any resource I believe whatever you want. So if its cave tiles, you can literally name the tileset cave-tiles.png. He did that for organization purposes.
-
The map system loads 9 maps at a time, if I listened to JC thoroughly (which I do, sometimes XD). So it will load 9 connected maps around you, so that no matter what the maps you need are going to be loaded.
-
Wow. This map is beautiful. You landed the lighting on it 100%. Great job, like others said only thing I can notice is some things are a bit repetitive. but other than that, its a solid map!
-
We never really tried, we don't have the amount of people to try, so I guess the best bet is to try it and see what happens, if there is bottlenecks, I assume JC can/will handle them.

Should've used a different analogy, I apologize. Quests will be available soon!!
-
@Meto.Z You can continue creating your game, and the development team will make sure EVERYTHING will carries over to the new version of Intersect, ALWAYS, and I mean everything. Resources, quests, etc. The reason equipment doesn't affect anything is because it is a bug, it is not supposed to be like that. Like phenomenal said, it should be addressed in a newer version.

@Zetasis we stopped development MONTHS and MONTHS ago to let Sherwin come up with a whole new engine, and its finally complete. Prior, we were keeping the same names for towns but the appearance is totally different. It will pretty much be kanto names and how it goes linearlly (I.E, you go to Viridian Forest to get to Pewter City) but the appearance of the map will have little to no similarity. I can only speak for this so much, we JUST started development again and I haven't had a good chance to talk to Sherwin.

I'd check out Revangales topic. He's real good! I'm also going to move this topic to the Recruitment board, since you're technically looking for a pixel artist.
-
We want to be absolutely sure we know who's testing, I suppose. As the project (finally!<3) resumes, I'll be mapping and developing like I was before. Sherwin has put TONS of time into this engine, so stick around!!

Looks good but make sure you make things to porportion, that doorway is 10x the size of your Sprite, unless you meant for it to be that way.
-
Yes you would need to encrypt your files which I do believe would require the source code. Soon folks
-
The mock ups in the first post did it no justice but I can see the style your going for now and I like it! Hand drawn. Very nice I wish you luck on this project bud.
-
True, I guess you would need a rather small edit like you said, so that you can't complete that quest more than once in that day. True, my bad
-
@Haath Well, you could do that already. Set "Quest Repeatable" and then set the Time of Day you can obtain it.
-
This is awesome. What gets me especially is you can "Time of Day" so you could make dailies, essentially, yeah? Love it, keep up the great work!

Currently there is no option in which you can change what you drop when you die, but!!! Rest assured, once we release the source you will be free to able to do things such as this! I wouldn't be surprised to see a tutorial to add dropping items on death, etc.
