  2. We recently upgraded to the official 0.1 release, closed alpha indev. Here's a few screenshots of the first town getting shaped (still missing many props and a proper ground texture)

  4. Just finished implementing the Updater for our project so our artists can see their work ingame in almost real time. As I've been a bit sick with a cold, spent some time improving the southern cut off cliffs (See the difference for yourself!): And added the bridge for the second zone, with it's own shiny z-dimension mapped!

As a community manager and generally a guy who's involved in load of PR stuff I can confirm that there are some truly cancer inducing people out there who'll do anything to try and troll you. Indeed ignoring them is the best option, and keeping that proffesional attitude.

Como aquellos que me seguís en Twitter sabréis, estos últimos días hemos estado trasteando un poco con un motor gráfico para ver si podíamos hacer funcionar un proyecto que lleva en mi mente ya demasiados años – ¡Por suerte lo hemos conseguido y me complace anunciar que estamos trabajando en Tierras Robadas Online! La idea es crear un MMORPG 2D muy inspirado estéticamente en juegos como Ultima Online. La filosofía del juego será llevar los elementos hardcore de los MMO antiguos (Everquest) a un juego bidimensional moderno. Esto quiere decir una experiencia más brutal pero a la vez más gratificante, con muchos incentivos (¡Y a veces flagrante necesidad!) de sociabilizar. Lamentablemente el motor gráfico que utilizamos no está completado y está en fase alpha, se trata del Intersect Engine creado por los chicos de Ascension Game Dev con licencia comercial. Parece ser sin embargo que con algo de conocimientos de programación se puede completar aquello que nos falta. Pero incluso con lo que ya tenemos hemos alcanzado el estado de demo técnica, el servidor y el cliente ya funcionan y hemos estado trasteando con la interfaz y los gráficos. Ahora mismo requerimos ayuda de programadores y artistas para acelerar el proceso. Todos podéis aportar vuestro grano de arena, sea creando paisajes, componiendo melodías, dibujando arte conceptual o logos, etc. Características Planeadas: · Rica historia basada en la novela Tierras Robadas: La Roca del Destino · Basto mundo por explorar, con puzzles y secretos gratificantes · Profunda progresión PVE, con mazmorras y jefes de mundo · Sistema de profesiones complejo · Sensación oldschool inspirada en juegos como el Everquest original · Necesidad de sociabilización para poder avanzar
  10. We always had in mind 15-20€ per month in mind, unless there are more people interested than we expect. The problem would be the latency since I understand this is hosted in the US?
  11. I feel that this would totally depend on your general game philosophy. For instance, our project goes from the beginning for that "free roam" feel, so it would be against our own logic making a linear forest. As you clearly understand (you stated it yourself) there are advantages in both approaches, just go for the one you feel more right for YOUR game.
  12. Yeah, but they always said they will implement only basic things every MMO should have, we'll see what they think about these ones. Besides, if it's too much work I'd rather have then not prioritize this >.<
  13. I feel this would be pretty used so it could have it's place in the main engine. Maybe also a full profession system where you level up your gathering/production profession?
