  1. IF YOU ARE RUNNING A LINUX SERVER FOR INTERSECT OR ANYTHING ELSE THIS IS FOR YOU. If you are running one of the following: CentOS 7 without kernel updates in September CentOS 6 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 or lower Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Debian-based (i.e. Ubuntu) Server/LTS distros (I don't know specifics here) There is a super user elevation exploit that is most likely not patched on your system. If you are using CentOS 7 update your kernel now If you are using RHEL 7 update to 7.4 if you haven't already. If you are using RHEL or CentOS 6 install any updates you have available pertaining to the kernel and research online to see if you are covered or if the fix has yet to be made readily available. If you are using Debian-based distros look online to get more information and make sure to install any available kernel updates regardless of whether you find information (unless that information says that the latest updates contains this vulnerability, which I would think it should not but who knows).
  2. That would be the equivalent of our concentrations I believe.
  3. In all honesty I think what seems to actually be your question and your actual poll question are not the same thing, ignoring the fact that your poll question is better as two separate questions. I don't think lore needs it's own degree, but it could definitely be a literature degree concentration for sure. Videogames by themselves warrant an academic degree and need further study, and studying lore would be a core part of it and would overlap with a game lore concentration in a literature degree. I don't think video games constitute a literary art form because it's not literary it's video. Still an art form though, but of a different class.
  4. Isometric graphics would require a complete rewrite of the rendering engine and would be no easy task. It is not planned like Azi said, and as far as I am aware we are never planning on implementing this.

  21. Let's not play shitty games like Minecraft and instead play Halo. Or RS3 or OSRS, but only if people don't cheat (bots or hacks). looks directly at Kasplant
  22. I meant just ask your neighbors to port forward for you, as opposed to disabling their firewall entirely. Sorry if my wording was misleading.
  23. Just port forward, they shouldn't outright disable the firewall. After you do this make sure to let us know if this resolved your issue or not.
  24. If it said UPnP was successful but it wasn't accessible publicly, it seems to me that your router is connected to another router somewhere (not necessarily in your home) that has a firewall up, blocking the port. If you live on a campus, your school is almost certainly blocking all ports them deem unnecessary. If you are in a house, your internet provider might be blocking all ports they deem unnecessary.
  25. IANAL I think this probably falls into a grey area. The limb structure might get a ding, but I would think is not suable on its own. That being said, the face is far too similar to be merely inspired, and that would likely be the basis of any court case. Eyebrows and nose look to be the same pixel-for-pixel -- even if the colors of the pixels are different, the shape that they make up is the same. Pretty sure the eyes more or less fall into this category as well. Using this a basis, even though the source image's limbs are covered, it could be argued that because the face is clearly duplicated pixel-for-pixel in shape, that it is highly improbable that the limbs and overall body shape were not also copied. Shading would likely fail as an excuse in this case because it's really easy to change the colors, it's a lot harder to recreate a wholly original sprite. I would say that the body and limbs need minor adjustments, and the face needs a lot of adjustment so that it looks good, but does not look like a recolor of the original.
