    API v1

On top of this, I was thinking maybe intersect chat could be abstracted out to IRC and loaded in as a web element? Like how twitch does it, so you can use IRC client to perform commands underneath the ingame chat. Then you wouldn't even need to remote commands, as it'd be in IRC already xD But that's just me window shopping.

    API v1

OHHH! Okay, good enough, I will work with all the GET stuff then, just for funsies. As for the console, I was just looking for a way around no SET endpoints. Wouldn't need a SET endpoint at all if you could remote all an admin's commands out. Like set player sprite, set player class.

    API v1

Are there any plans to implement SET or PUT endpoints into the API for player objects? Is there a way to utilize the API to push remote commands into the server console? Maybe through admin user token? Will character sprite be added to the API? I was hoping to utilize Intersect API with Aseprite's API to allow real-time customization of base sprites. More questions in this thread as I think of them. I'm really excited to start getting my hands dirty here
  4. Last items for B6 list documentation, and a great bulk of what RC1 appears to be is guides and documentation. What is the process moving forward if someone would like to contribute? Is it a team or can anyone participate? Will you force us to post everything on the forum then have someone else port it to docs? Who can edit docs? Who's guides will go down in documentation? What kind of format will all of it need to follow? Just wanting the general details on how it's gonna work. TL:DR: What's the documentation on documentation? ~Question asked not too early & not too late~
  5. what about chat commands that tie to permissions? or the manipulation of a commands list? Is this possible through api/json?
  6. Petition for delay of Beta 6, till the API includes permissions, roles, ranks, etc. Or for introducing a Beta 7 before RC1.
  7. Can you screenie what it looks like when it works?

    Spoiler

I thought I made this up, but apparently it's a really creey looking game... :148_no_good:

  9. Nooooooooooooo, how did I miss this? Came to respond, so hurrying up so I can read o-o Edit.1: So Mirror uses Sqlite! That's pretty legit, and since it's one code base, this could totally port to phone/tablet/anything, over breakfast xD Edit 2: Big fan of Stardew, picked it back up recently. and what you got so far looks really interesting and thrilling. Definitely will be following along. If this released tomorrow, I'd drop Stardew to try it PS: Nice to see you again Marshmallow.
  10. You do sales of this system? I'd buy one from you. Total hardware costs plus roughly 40%, before you include shipping. The whole idea sounds really cool, and I'd def put it in a car. Have you tested it in a vehicle yet? A video would be pretty cool too.
  11. https://titanembeds.com/ I've held on to this link for a year :) I think it deserves a home here.

I believe the problem is that it doesnt integrate into the forum in any way. Its a completely separate system of accounts etc.

From all I heard, the only issue we had to begin with was dividing the community. I never heard anything about accounts. (discord uses OAUTH2)

Community not devided, solved. It's also a dirty implementation, but open source. This could be used to establish an integration project.

But I gave up trying to convince anyone here, reasons being listed are easily refuted and it's not worth my time to argue.

I'm just sharing to share, for anyone else interested in the same resources I am. Also, for clarification, when I said "it deserves a home here" i meant the link, on my wall. :)

There's also this one, think it might be better:

Yes to konfuze, and never touched Orion lol.

  13. If the game does go open, I hope it's on a repository.

I think it would be cool, seeing as "how to code this" is just replace x with y, the whole tut could be replaced and automated specifically targeting the changed code.
This could be turned into a plugin feature that's as simple as "click here to add and enable this mod" in the forum to launch a base client to add the changes in through an API.

If a user would like to learn the specific differences, they could reference the documentation overview of the changed code (via author, but boilerplate or automated with bikeshed) and implement them in themselves with a git-pulled base.

But lastly, that would save up the forum space, less on delete this copy that, but actual content on educating maybe the when where and why. Or at the very least, separates the two forms of information, so just looking at it doesn't feel like drowning.

  14. I'll start utilizing this space to share and grow.

  15. Bump - Apparently someone posted to this thread, but deleted their post or something, but also it went straight to my spam folder. Just want to say my savings for this project is now 4 digits left of the decimal. Soooo "willing to negotiate" was more me saying I want this done, not I want it at a cheaper price. The "if it's not too pricey or working in bulk" is simply my ignorance on what prices for gigantic projects normally cost. Say a 32x32 pixel box is 50 bucks, how many flipping boxes is in a city? Is it 5k for a tileset? is it a flat 800? Who knows! Noone has this data listed...
  16. Parallax is pretty much using layers of 2d images, and a whole bunch of math, to form depth (or working on 3 dimensions) into a map. It's how you see things differently from different angles. Parallax isn't impossible, but you'd be working with a lot of 3d voodoo and camera angles. So no, I don't think parallax is available in Intersect because they don't use a rotating camera. But "can" it be done? Absolutely. **Correct me if I'm wrong on something, I actually was just researching into this, for a hexagon grid map idea I've been working on. My brain is all fuzzy with perlin noise now.
  17. Yes! Towards the original question, I definitely believe we should be exploring video game and its *sets as all completely real literary devices. Those ideas are capable of the next step of immersion in storytelling (even of the textual variety) by finally increasing its scope into perceiving a fuller 3 dimensions, paired with its value to offer SUBSTANTIAL choice (as opposed to movie scripts, sometimes spawning from 'page-based' media). Here is an idea that I worked up on towards two facets of an Augmented Library, used as an example for this YES: Developed over an analytics machine that converts player "history" (in the science/math context of software versioning), but also literally in the sense that players could/would build independent stories (of a videogame that takes the form of a "'season") that are chronicled through a fan-based writers guild. The second facet would be the construction of a "gate" and tandem API used as a permission system to tailor towards electronic books, and user accounts, to literally "spawn" an augmented gate in physical space, bound by user account credentials exposed to the API and any external interface for said operation. So an empty room can be tailored through 3D space to interface with an Augmented Library medium, not just the player epics, but also any other ebook library (initially by the play store with android). *I want to keep libraries and the feel of actually BEING in one alive, I'm heavily interested in a major umbrella of gamification (not just our current view of 'video games'). Now for the metaphorical beauty of it all is the realization that if you transpose player's game history (or their metaphorical adventure) and reprint it as a literary story, you can use that as a seed to define what the next adventure would look like, through a "flow" of an evolving video game. Capable only because the dimensional immersion has increased and our brains have played with it like candy in exponential measures. The internal mechanics and ways of communication that would form on a tool-chain to produce this environment would be scaled towards economic growth. Exposing (previously) explicitly-virtual constructs in a semi-tangible form will increase visibility to the concentrations of knowledge necessary to power the machine. In this new Umbrella CS and CE would pretty much have an interface with an API that would create little plugin spots for every perceivable shard of reality, in measurable steps labeled by relevancy. World-building, game construct evaluation, and any implement of something that needs immersion, could be given it's own professional level of understanding. If the total system got that big, I have a feeling it might. In this Library/Game instance, those 'plugins' would make the more classical creative outlets scale into the digital counterparts through a gamified educational matrix. Sound composition, visual art productions, more physical mediums like sculpting or modeling, architectural design would also become an available augmentation. Observable sciences like astronomy, physics, chemistry, mechanics, can all be appreciated when adding more semi-tangible and more immersive visual representation. Which can all be gamified structures used in telling stories through video-games, it's brain candy by adding realism to your perceptions while offering a broader range of immersion. All this scope is just stimulating our visual senses, but I believe it can also be used to create newer literature capable of containing more filling experiences, through it's relevancy towards it's fast growing medium of Video Games. TL;DR: Read the underlined, it's there for point concentration and to anti-alias the blocks of text in meaningful proportions. On the other hand, in regards to what you listed as being possible curriculum, no. Those ideas (structured as-is) probably won't be reasonable within a University, but some other form of school (for profit, too young, not ideal, and a bad but not failed first step) most likely. I've been in an example of that myself, and it's expensive but worth it in at least this one instance. I see this niche education positively enough to envision a future where it grows bigger and better. Right now it's barely applicable.
  18. Bump - Revangale went MIA. I couldn't even keep in contact long enough to talk things out nor make any sort of payment :/
  19. :/ This is paid work. Who wants paid work? Anyone? @PixelFox Who else is an artist here?
  20. I'm looking to have a tile set made. I like spriting but I don't have a whole lot of free time, plus I'm kind of bad at it. Was hoping to do a dark-tech themed universe. So Half (ish) Neon Cyberpunk kinda sci-fi (so like Metroid Prime meets Star Citizen), with hints of life kinda like the feel from Ori and the Blind Forest. Was hoping for whatever the artist would consider as a "standard set": Shops, homes, tech buildings (energy harvesters, watermill, windmills, server scrapers) , ruins Roads, paths, new sets of flora types that fit a "dark and poisonous, but really pretty" mindset several types of natural water/animation (waterfall, springs, tainted, electrified) The whole shabang, with auto-tiles in mind. Willing to talk out further specifics, in general I was thinking of starting with whatever I can fit on 1 tileset. 2 if it's not too pricey or maybe more If I can work in bulk. So willing to negotiate on prices. I know what I have in my head, I'm just not sure how to communicate it out, any questions appreciated so I can also refine my inquiry. 21. I don't need to see JC's face, I get to see the most retarded face on the news every day foe freeeee. They call him Mr. President.
  22. I am sad to see that no monetary perks include any kind of streaming I like to donate when I can regardless, but It'd be cool if there was anything feeding into more visual communication. Or some cooler more responsive notifier on when people are streaming, other than just the side bar.
