My next step into resolving this issue is to compile my own LiveCD with the very specific driver changes built into the ISO, so when it installs maybe I can have instant access to LAN and correctly set up everything else. Currently I need: build-essentials (a bundle of essentials including `make`) r8168 LAN drivers MATE de

Because i will be compiling my own kernels and building my own flavor of Linux here soon. Many reasons actually. Booting to live USB doesn't solve the out of box problem. I just switched back to desktop, seems to work fine that way anywho.

I have posted over there but I asked here in hopes that I wouldn't have to go to a place like that It also is slowly proving itself over time I wait Idling while I can hear my email blast off alerts of people commenting on my question But woe is me all Nine Thousand of them are grammar warriors raiding my rectal alphabet It doesn't feel good and because I only followed your advice I have carefully removed all sorts of visual candy from my speech they suck and you suck I will just continue to answer my own questions super really sad panda under a super really dark and murky rain cloud hybrid service provider But yes, hopefully after my grammatical ass stops hurting they might be able to help me. So thanks. I can update the information here after I receive a response from them and know more myself.

So I've spent the last 2 days trying to get Ubuntu on my Desktop. Specs are AM3+ Gigabyte Motherboard (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4642#ov). I've tried both Ubuntu Desktop & Ubuntu Server (16.04 for LTS). Everything works smoothly except network connection and discovery! I cannot for the life of me, get my Desktop to connect to my Merlin-ASUS router x_x I've been told it could be a wifi issue, so I've completely removed my Wifi card, and retried a fresh install. No success. I've been told it's an ipv6 problem and have tried disabling it (as according to random tomfoolery via google). No success. I've considered it to be a router problem, and have updated the firmware to BOTH the Merlin build and the Vanilla Asus build. Also no successes. I've messed around with the router settings in every which way possible, save for completely turning my router into a manual machine. I've got peeps connected in my house, so all these resets are annoying, not to mention manual assignment would suck donkeys. Buuut at the same time I don't think it's a router issue, none of my other devices regardless of OS ever have issues connecting to the router. I've also noticed that the desktop "sometimes" connects, but it's only in short random bursts. It doesn't stay in the network map. I've already ruled out physical medium, as none of my 8 cables work, and are working with other devices. I've tried pinging the router after a successful "connect" (figuratively, not literally I guess) and cannot reach the router. Nor can I interface the UI from my browser. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated

The only objective to this topic is to match forces against the derailment to anything less than completely Robin. I say these words are farce or facade to an equivalent amount of power, to revert attention back towards Robin. Self contained

Gross, the allowance of alphabet for the presumed achronym is brutal and taboo. Also, I've drawn a blank on why I'd want a club for a unique name derived from a dog food product Robin is BAE. ~varinyc Bwahahahaha!

No community board is ever complete without it's own corner of sinister mayhem! Now what would this corner be without it's equally estranged dweller(s), quite normally crazed over the musings of life as defined at the very rainbowy fringes of psychosis! Bwahahahaha! Everyone should join me, on my conquest to prove that life is a videogame, and that robin is the DM/GM of said reality. Note: My love for @Robin is a mechanical one, quite similar to the negative connotation behind the phrase "keyboard warrior", and KNOWS NO BOUNDS (minus the keyboard)! Time hath not faded thine glory, nor thy excellence in the field of logic and circuitry. Exalted are thy words, as I blah blah some blah blah, and stuff. This is what i do when I'm bored gais, I love @Robin ;~; , favorite past time EVER! Also, let me have a minute to burry the old thread, very unceremoniously like ~ RIP ~ https://www.eclipseorigins.com/Thread-Fan-Club-REO The End.

Omg, I'm @Robin fanning D: *tears* It's a holiday miracle ;~; Bummed out on the placement of source release, I just started my programming class. But at least we get a new juicy timeline to idle to I suppose.

Happy New Year everyone! Just got back to the internet haha

The whole process of logging in, if taken logically, is just containers for different sets of data. Its what you do with the data that makes the profiling special. You could try integrating an intersect server with ipb profiles, that could be fun and interesting.

Why do you want to only direct through google OAuth? I think that's important in building a solution that's viable to your situation. Here's a resource I googled up: http://invision-virus.com/forum/index.php/files/file/332-34-sign-in-through-google/ It's only for current users, and allows them to use google sign in. Not sure if that covers your need or not, but you could always generate a level of Perms for "clean" accounts, and "googlified" accounts, so that there is negative benefits of some sort to NOT tying with google. Or snoop through whatever code to see if you could integrate their approach with regular registration. I know it's severely outdated, but I don't know version history or shelf life of IPB stuff.

The authentication "server" is the files that would go in tandem with the regular server file when compiled. It's only separated out so you can choose to use it or not. So replacing the files in the auth folder with the regular server folder should work, I think. Setting the authentication up doesn't look that difficult, but will only be as secure as how you decide to implement it. Is how it looks to me, I only skimmed through the code for a bit.

Oh okay, thanks man. Don't kill me D: You going to release any info on what's happening for 1.9? I know it's just bug testing and stability stuff (as far as the bible roadmap says), y'all gonna start streaming again? @Kibbelz @jcsnider
-
@Kibbelz Well it was twofold but I couldn't separate them at the time: 1. Are the ingredients ordered in their respective recipe lists? (But this question is irrelevant now D:) 2. Any plans on implementing crafting, and it's stages, into events? (Less so, but still partially irrelevant) I was just itching to know things. lol

This asset is a masterpiece of it's time and genre, it was also built to Robin's specific needs and whim. That, in my opinion, is also what makes it valuable. It's a look inside how they went about solving problems. If you want this back to bare bones. Grab Orion+, It's EO ported to VB.NET so people don't have to use a beyond dead language. Even installing VB6 is a HS diploma from PC to PC, let alone whatever happens next. If you want this just for a little information: https://github.com/RobinPerris/Crystalshire you can read all the code from that website without installing anything.

What about turning Ingredient to Ingredient #? Use case being that you can see visually the value of where an item is in a list, with an associated key. It could come in handy with events. Then it could be Item #1: Value, where #1 could represent a step in a questline. So instead of Relying on EXP for wood collection and associating that with a balance (universally) or EXP for crafting the whole item without anything to scale it by unless you complete it, you could have generic wood collection EXP, and extra EXP for completing one step of a full item. That's a small example, so the value is also small, but it could scale bigger, to maybe events where you know most people won't finish, but through other various means, it's not bad to complete certain portions. TL;DR I think a list with meaning in an order (even if none is used), could have more use if people decide to give it meaning through scripts(events) or something. Universally, an Item has no value until it exists VS There exists some case, where an item may have value before it exists. Crafting is the system that gives values to items before they exist, might as well let it grow EDIT: Realized that it's already a thing visually, but wasn't certain how it's handled in the back, but I'm just excited lol. Hopefully these ideas help with something at least lol

Yeah but different atmosphere creates different setting. I'm a big fan of meeting devs from online. Been through 15 different states (randomly) and met all sorts of cool people. @jcsnider Mostly peeps from the old .hack//Indie scenes, but still awesome Not that I'm pushing the topic or anything, I just got excited :< lol I'm only down here for 2 years, going to Full Sail (Orlando). I'll hopefully be in Oregon or Texas next.

Hey, I have an idea I want some help with. Anyone interested in following along?
I'm in the idea phases of putting together a client for Orien+ (for now) that has a client that works as a web app.
Was thinking simple to start out and work with the HTML canvas and JS or Dart (because why not, and for no other reasons) to run a client that would communicate with the server that's already built. I know async is still relatively new in the scheme of things, but I want to try it out anyways.
Any tips or pointers on where to start? I've been thinking on how to handle it though, what would I have to do differently? -
I've been wondering this same thing. But more for cases of maps that are indoors, or not the highest Y topography situations. Where do those get stored? I wouldn't want them on the map grid either.

Hi! I'm currently playing Forge Minecraft (1.7.10) on the AetherII server. Anyone want to join? http://www.aetherii.com/ Their most active news is listed on FB and Twitter. But they also have a discord, patreon & github.
