  1. So I'm back home and back at working on this. I didn't do coding today but just finished the UI for the stats window. This window will probably be the one that shows in the overworld and in battle. It's done in Paint, so it's not in-game yet; gotta code that. Once this is done, I'll start working on the battle UI and the battle code itself for wild encounters. I'll also have to start programming moves.
  2. I'll be going on a trip until probably next Friday, and won't be able to work on this...so don't take it as a dead project
  3. The tool itself wasn't actually in the post. But I decided to add it anyway. Also added the source.
  4. So for the game I'm making, I decided to use the Black/White animated sprites for Pokémon, so what I did was write a program that converted the GIFs into a long PNG file which contains all of the GIF's frames. Right now, I've only got the generation 1 Pokémon, but I may add in generation 2. Shinies are also missing, I'm planning on adding those too. Here are the sprites I've converted: to Here is the .exe for the converter. This will actually work for any GIF, provided the output format is the one you're happy with. (you just need to download the gifs, place them in the proper folder and run the program) Here is the source code if you want to change the format (C#):
  5. Looking really good! Those trees could use some shading though
  6. Yeah could use a hand at mapping once I've got some more stuff coded in. :D Although, I'm not really sure if I'll be staying with those tiles or just the original LG/FR...would love some input in that too.
  7. What kind of help though?
  8. I don't know if that's good, or bad... I want to have something playable soon to test, but first I need to do a basic battle system. I'll be posting my progress here anyway.
  9. Yeah I know it's cancer seeing so many Pokémon games but I don't mind. So while I'm waiting for Intersect to be released so I can work with Adams on a game, I'm just killing time by writing an online Pokémon game from scratch! I am writing it in C# using MonoGame for graphics, and Lidgren for networking. I do not have anything playable yet, I only have screenshots and little "dev logs" that I wrote at the time (and saved them in Notepad XD) of what I've been doing, that's why I'm not posting it in the Projects forum yet. Screenshots:
  10. I like what JC suggested.
  11. scaredy.
  12. Looking nice, love the maps. The sprite reminds me a lot of a VB6 Pokémon game that was called Pokémon Cyrus. May ring a bell to some.
  13. Yeah I caught one yesterday too. So far the only decent Pokémon I've got (other than my starter).
  14. Eh, not really. I thought I'd play a lot more but I only have caught 6 pokemon. :/
  15. You have to run both the client and server in your computer. Otherwise there's no server you can connect to, and it says it's offline.
  16. @Blue Servers man. Idk why sometimes it gets stuck there when they are down. They go on like 30mins then down again. :/
  17. This is my life right now.
  18. Wow, had no idea those existed. Other than that the map itself looks quite good.
  19. Love the graphics. They look familiar, but not sure. Custom?
  20. I know :/ I see diamond off my reach but I'd be very happy if I could reach gold before the end of the season. As for the project, I am interested in looking at Intersect once it's source is released, but I'll be going for something I make by myself from scratch. I can do it, and I have, I just never finished before lol.
