How to update Intersect from 4.2 to 4.8.1? without lost content

the title is self explicative  

 

what arquives i need to paste to 4.8.1? those with the blue icon on it? resources paste? or just the white files pdb and exe?

without lost my maps and quests please

Why not start with a clean/fresh 4.8.1? Start the new version and then copy your database into the Server/Resources folder and graphics/music into the Client/Resources folder?

 

That'd be a lot easier than trying to update through 10 different versions...

1. Backup your files.
2. Replace the 4.2 exe and pdbs with the 4.8.1 ones.

It's been covered before but the only time you need to do more than the above is for major version number releases (3 -> 4, 4 -> 5) not minor ones (3.2 -> 3.3, 4.1 -> 4.6).

well i replace the arquives but when i open the server this appears:

but i can do that without lost my maps? quests? events and others? 'causa i have a lot...i can't just create another project from 0
