  1. It's all propaganda man. Whether you think it is or not, the writer's biases and beliefs slip through in the writing and that inevitably affects the end consumer. I don't generally watch TV.
  2. Basic Biased Cucks - All of that "entertainment" is trash, subliminal programming to make you think a certain way instead of seeing objective truth.
  3. Not yet, this will likely have to be something you add in yourself when the source is released. I also want to make a game that uses a turn-based battle system (except mine takes place on a board, like Chess, and with multiple pieces) we just have to wait at the moment.
  4. Double click the map next to the map you're working on (you can do this in the map grid tab also) it will ask if you want to create a connected map.
  5. I don't know what a keystone is in this context, however I can tell you there is no green screen effect, this engine supports transparency and uses .pngs for that.

    Male Voice Stuff

You never know, if you find something fun and work at developing it, it could end up as a career.
  7. I didn't know the 512x512 thing, thanks.

    Male Voice Stuff

The Gremlin-style squeaking you do in some of the voices shows you limit your range to throat only, you should expand and try to do more nasally works. Also, you can tell you're an amateur because of the squeaking thing, no big games use this type of voice, look at a Bethesda game and tell me where you hear a guy doing a voice like that. You had some good voices though and nice mic quality/audio editing skills, I didn't hear any background noise. This is more than adequate for hobbyist projects, but for me (and this is personal preference) I tend to skip dialogue when one of the voices that has the vocal abrasion/squeaking are talking, so I wouldn't want to hire you for a commercial project of my own because of that. It's like nails on chalkboard for me. This is probably going to be deleted for being harsh but if people don't point out the negative points, you never know where to improve.
  9. I like the idea of closing off or opening areas for people based on the quests they do and also activating/shutting off quests that way. If player A does a specific quest line, they'll get access to a mine, whilst player B doesn't- this will add a value to zone specific gathered resources and crafting drops.

    Division Of Life 2D

I'm really liking how this is going, solid work on the features.
  11. If the shoutbox is gone and you've been registered for longer than two weeks- you've been banned from using the shoutbox.
  12. It used to be General Pony- I'd love to hear the story behind that tbh.
  13. So before 2009?
  14. When was that?
  15. It takes some hardcore weebing to know the names of songs in anime. I only know these because of Google, lol. These are the ones I like, in order: Gamilas Anthem The Twelve kingdoms Opening Seirei no Moribito OST - Nahji no Uta Kemono no Souja Erin - Lalalila Lalila Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko OP (Not a fan of the anime, but the music is strange enough that I like it.) (This one isn't anime, though the game is Japanese and has anime in the game.) Suikoden III - Exceeding Love (Opening) This song actually inspired me to create a conlang, though I steered off of the path and whilst I wanted something tribal, it's much more robust than intended. You can probably tell I like the sort of folk type stuff.
  16. When I first commented, there was a donation button and talk of distributing the game on Steam via Greenight- that was removed after my post and SkywardRiver's post saying he didn't want to sell the game was posted. If you are benefiting/profiting from Enterbrain's intellectual property, whether by donation or sales, you are breaking copyright law. There were no Eclipse projects using Enterbrain's property that sold themselves, therefore the argument that "oh there were eclipse games that never got cease and desist, so obviously the owners don't care how their property is used" is flawed and moot. There may well have been projects that took donations, however no projects lasted long enough for Enterbrain to notice- unlike a company such as Nintendo, they don't have a department that trawls the internet every day looking for people using their assets. If you got greenlit and were taking donations, you'd draw attention to yourself. Enterbrain have taken down Steam titles in the past and even non-Steam indie titles (like ones on Desura) because of use of their property to make money. It states it plain and simply on the website that their art is for RPGMaker only and they use a Share-alike clause that states any remixes or additions to their work are officially and formally property of Enterbrain Studios also. This is why I made my initial post. I'm not sure what they would do legally speaking if you use their graphics in a custom engine, but didn't sell it or make money off of it, including adverts on the game website or game trailer on Youtube. I think they probably aren't going to come after you if you stay small, but if you get too large as a game, you set a bad example that says Enterbrain doesn't care about their graphics licensing and that it's open-season on using them, this will lead to many people using their graphics outside of RPGMaker which people do anyway (but Enterbrain will try to minimise that as much as possible by removing large projects.) I think if you did everything free and weren't taking money, you could somewhat get away with it, they could cease and desist but they couldn't take you to court over it, the case would likely be dismissed or you could use a fair use defense and their case wouldn't win anyway. But you never know- if they can prove you're using their assets or that you made money (they'd likely try to get a subpoena on your banking information) then you'd be in trouble. As for a cease and desist DMCA notice, not adhering to one is evidence against you if they want to take you to court over it- which is why they're so effective at getting fan games shut down.
  17. Crystalshire wasn't on Steam and it didn't ask for donations. It was a free non-commercial project that had like 4 players online at any time, max- so it was relatively unknown.
  18. If you're intending to use RPGMaker graphics and release on a non-RPGMaker engine- you're gonna have a bad time. Intellectual property theft. If you get caught, you'll have to return all donated funds and if they decide to make an example out of you, you're gonna have to pay damages and legal costs for their side.
  19. Lol. Well, at least you know, chuck a [SOLVED] in your thread title for people in the future, haha.
  20. Yes it supports more than 6. Please post the text in your server config relating to equipment slots and I'll let you know if you've done it wrong. I've added more slots in and they work- a horizontal scroll bar appears however, meaning you have to scroll along to use/see them- it doesn't start a new row as you'd expect.
  21. Please screenshot your tilesets folder and also upload your errors.log file here for review.
  22. Drunk livestream?
  23. I thought source would be released on final release also since that's what I was told by JC- is this changed to beta now?

    [WIP] Pestilence

Reminds me in story of http://store.steampowered.com/app/412450/ - Black Death. It also reminds me of an idea I had a while back that also took place in this time period, except instead of being a disease, the black death was where the infected were possessed by Demons and farther along infected people were full on demonic mutations with multiple limbs etc roaming the wilderness. Is the art all yours? It seems like it'll be fun- how're you handling PvP?
  25. No. I'm against this mentality. This is basically what a safespace is. A place where people don't say anything unless it's good. @Kibblez I think it's fine as it is now also. I'm just hoping that in the future, there's no admins going nutso and muting/banning people like Agora did on Eclipse because they said something in a negative way.
