    [WIP] Life Forge

I could see myself playing this - great work, Zet. Looking forward to some updates
  2. Initially developed for the One Button Game Jam Created with Unity 5.4 by Nate [Palisade Studio] Game Jam Build: https://itch.io/jam/one-button-to-rule-all-jam/rate/80668 The Element of Eternity is a 'duel-based' 2D PC game (plans for iOS and Android) that places you on the saddle of a poor adventurer who must battle through tiers of monsters in order to level up and collect loot. The vast environment of species on the planet have unearthed the magic behind conjuring the elements of land, fire, and water - and now it is your chance to harness the power it brings. Current Features: 16 Different monsters. 12 Items. (8 of which are 'paperdolled') 3 Lanes of offense/defense. 4 Elemental projectiles. (Fire, Water, Earth, Aether) Character naming + progression. Planned Features: Character customization. Interactive tutorial. Multiple game modes. (Multiplayer, Loot Hoard, Campaign [2 Planned Updates/Expansions], Survival) More monsters, more items, expand to 4 lanes. Story to encapsulate the campaign and element features. Fully custom soundtrack [WIP] UI Overhaul Some early Screenshots:
  3. Updated!
  4. Great first attempt - the only problem I can see with these is making other tiles that match the style. Granted it's your first try and I don't expect you to have developed a style, so that's not what I'm saying. But making a house or something to match these or go well would be difficult. I would tone down the dark pixels, and maybe make them more subtle; as well as take Murdocs advice and add dark pixels around some edges of the sand (because grass is obviously taller than the dirt) as well as some lighter green (1-2 pixels thick would do) around the inner edges of the grass. But for a first attempt - you can get really good really quickly.
  5. I've got a basic item set paperdolled, as well as items and a basic tileset. I've been taking part in a few C# Game Jams but I may revive these one day when Intersect comes out
  6. Looks great; all three of you. Really good job. Excited to see how this turns out! N
  7. I've got some GFX I made a couple years ago that I'd love to give to the community to use. They fit well together in my opinion - I will add the tile set when I have it cleaned up a little more so it's a bit easier to use. Feel free to do as you wish with these GFX. GUI Components [Full download of GUI: ButtonsAndBars_GUI.zip] Experience Bar (Health Bar and Energy Bar included) GUI Buttons Idle, Mouse-Over, Clicked The .zip contains more buttons such as 'Profile, Options, etc. Also included are .psd files. Sprites Brown Hair (Easy to recolour) Blonde Mohawk (Easy to recolour) Items Small Set Singles NPC Sprites Small Bushel Light Bushel Dark(er) Bushel Ghast Tileset (Water may be a little off) Below is just a small mockup I made before all the gfx above were done as you see them now. The bush is what I used as a temporary treetop. First pass on the tile set looked like this: (I call it "Hate Thy Retina") And this was the second pass after some feed back on the, erm, saturation:
  8. One of the most impressive tilesets I've seen. Great job man. Love it
  9. If you need someone to make a video "How To" I'd be more than willing to help out between BETA 2.2 and 2.3. Looks promising - keep up the great work!
  10. Haha what in the hellll. Nope - I am definitely Nate. Nathan to be exact... Nayte if you knew me through high school... But Nate will do.
  11. Hey everyone - my name is Nate. I've been a part of these branching communities since I was about 14, and have ultimately been decently quiet. I've have a few ideas here and there for ORPG's but never really had the time to stick around or the knowledge to program. The last couple years have really fueled my love for design and I've taken a few courses on Unity, and a little bit of dabbling in Blender. I love the idea of having a C# based engine and I'm excited to see where this goes. I don't know how many veterans we have here, but the ORPG Dark Knights made with the PlayerWorlds/Mirage (I forget which, maybe it's neither) was the first game I ever played, and brought the tile based 2D ORPG's to the top of my genre list. I'd love to see a complete and balanced game come of this - and JC it's an absolute pleasure to be a part of the community. Huge fan of what you do. Stoked to meet you all! Nate
