  1. I found a LOT i want to use for my project! Great job on composing all these tracks (And of course i will give credit to you)
  2. Is there any way to combine tasks within a quest? Say i want a player to kill three type of enemies for a quest, i'd rather have any kill count towards completing that goal, rather than have to go through the first task to get to the second kill task.

Update 4/10 Adding everything together that's needed to be able to play, it's about 70-75% finished. Mainly balancing stuff and some minor stuff needed. Some new information regarding the game itself: While i touched on Quests in my first post, here's a bit of an explanation, You can take on missions(quests) from anything from ground objects, regular NPCs, a poster on a wall, etc. They're not always obvious. Massive Quest Chain, consists of at least 10, almost always more, quests. These involve things like advancing your class, dungeons, important parts that tell a story, lots of dialogue and traveling. Events/NPCs that start these chains have a (!) in their name so that player don't miss them easily. Major Quest Chain, usually consists of 5-10 quests, could be the main chain of a hub, or leading up to a Massive chain. Lesser Quest Chain, usually around 1-5, some impactful, some less. Quest, average of 1-3. These are the types of quest chains i have planned. Another interesting thing i've been considering is a fourth class that utilizes Intersect's awesome projectile system. While the already planned classes utilize projectiles in some ways, i felt a projectile class should add some more variety to the game (If i add the fourth class, that brings classes to a grand total of 28 classes!) Also since i love to map and can't stop working on future zones from time to time, i'll try to get some screenshots up as soon as possible!

Update 29/9 With 4.2 being released i'm moving towards alpha testing. It's still a while until it's ready, but it's getting there. In the coming days/weeks i'll be posting some updates with game information and what i have been working on. All in all, great progress! Depending on when 4.3 is released i might wait for that version before playtesting. More to come soon!
  5. An NPC or an Event? If you make an NPC Event you can just set the quest task to be completed after showing dialogue from the NPC Event, if you understand how i mean? A bit more detailed.. In your Quest editor: Set Quest task in quest to be "Event driven", then set X to complete that quest task once you interact with X. You do this via event commands. So it could look like this: 1. Set the quest task(s): http://imgur.com/chp9YXZ 2. Then (if you want) set a event to be played once the event(the NPC) completes the quest task http://imgur.com/XHrTvRr 3. Then create an Event where you want the player to complete their task (talk to npc), set the quest task command, choose which quest and which of the tasks to be completed, and you're done. http://imgur.com/3MJUQE6
  6. I'm at around 470. For the overworld. I tried taking a world screenshot when i was at about 250 a while back, didn't end very well I have done just like you =) Perhaps i am! I'll keep going and see what happens.
  7. I know that. What i'm wondering is editor related. I have a good PC and it already takes a while to load all the previews for the maps. Is it a good idea to break the world up into groups, or just have everything connected anyway.
  8. I'm reaching a point where my main world is reaching big amount of maps, and it's not even halfway done, how is everybody doing this? Do you simply have one Main folder and a big world, or do you split them up and connect the world parts with warps at small junctions? I fear the client may not be able to create previews for 1k+ maps eventually.

Thank you! It has to do with the history of the region. I got them off of opengameart: https://opengameart.org/content/whispers-of-avalon-desert-tileset Glad you guys like it!

Kind of busy overall, but i try to work on the project whenever i can. I'm currently remaking the southern desert maps, which is finished soon! While this map, and zone over all is far from complete, it should give you an idea of the current situation in Nusst and it's surrounding desert. I've also got A LOT of non-mapping things done, apart from a ton of new zones and dungeons The northern and southern regions of the desert is now home to a merry bunch, travel the desert with caution.
  11. If you mean you want to connect an unconnected single map to a larger network of maps, just right click the place on the map grid(click the Map Grid tab at the top of the map editor window) where you want your unconnected map to be placed, choose Link Map. Or, if you mean connecting maps over all, just doubleclick the border of the map you're currently on and the editor will ask if you want to create a map there. Hope this helped.
  12. I would recommend using events to teach spells. 1. Open a new event 2. Set a name and sprite for it 3. Click the empty bar under "Add Commands" 4. Choose "Change Spells" under "Player Control" 5. Choose a spell 6. Save event & map 7. "Attack" the event to get the spell Did that help?
  13. I don't know if this is how it's supposed to work, but i fixed this (thanks to HRA) by inversing my animation gfx, so that they're facing downwards, while having the arrow above the (S) in Projectile Spawns enabled, with auto-rotate enabled.
  14. Look at the picture in the first post, there are two images, the animation is facing up. It simply does not adjust to the direction, thats why i included both the animation and the editor in screenshots, so that someone might be able to tell what i am doing wrong. And yes i did try having only the direction above the S greenmarked.
  15. Then how do i get the animation to follow the direction that the player is facing? I don't understand your answer. I've tried having only the up arrow enabled in the projectile spawns area, both with auto-rotate on and off, it did not work.
  16. I can't seem to get this to work. I am trying to create a close range spell(1 range), and since i want this to be "fired" to where the player is facing, i have to make the spell into a projectile, right? But the animation that's played is always facing upwards (like the image below) Here's the animation graphics i wanted to use: And here's what my projectile editor looks like: What do i need to do? Also worth noting i tried stuff like only 1 green arrow on the projectile spawns and other combinations etc.

Thank you! If i can get a bounty system that works like i have planned it should both be a major part/feature of the game, and promote both guilds, solo play, and PvP, this combined with the way i plan to incorporate zones with different rulesets would not force players to pvp, but at the same time encouraging pvp. It is one of the features i am most excited about.

Put together a few short clips showing off some parts of my project:
  19. For anyone as technologically inept as me: 1. Install SQLite DB Browser 2. Open Intersect/Server/Resources/intersect.db with the software 3. Go to the tab "Browse Data", select "Users" in the dropdown menu, and then select the account you wish to delete and click "Delete record" Also thank you Kibbelz
  20. What does that mean? I don't want to delete all accounts.
  21. How do i delete characters/accounts? I need to test everything from items to spells to quests in game, and it's getting extremely tedious not being able to delete a character, or creating a new account for another character. I installed SQLite DB Browser as another thread suggested, but the "Users" part didn't show anything. I also tried Chronos' Intersect Toolkit but it keeps crashing upon loading the intersect.db
  22. After trying the day night editor for a bit i understand how to go about doing it. Thank you.
  23. How do i get lights to work without having to turn "Is Indoors?" to true? Because it would conflict with day/night cycle, right?
  24. Made something new, unrelated to my project. However, some of the tiles are mismatched since i haven't gotten around to editing colors and fixing edges on some tiles, so they fit together properly. Oh and i couldn't find any link on imgur for thumbnails so if this isn't allowed you can remove the post.
