  3. Hi all, I am sorry I have not been very active for the last few months, there has been a lot going on. That said everything is bound to pick up again real soon. I am happy to announce that as of this week Ascension Game Dev has been alive for a year! We have been joined by old friends and new and I am thrilled to see you all here. As a group we have started development on many projects that will hopefully be the backbone of this community for a long long time. Today Ascension has been renewed for 2 more years! During this time I plan to work on expanding this community, release Intersect, and further sculpt this site into the game dev hub that we all want to be a part of! Thanks everyone for bearing with us! Let's make these next two years great!
  4. I had a very hard time deciding. I like both but neither considerably more than the other. I voted for original, just because it is custom and you could expand upon it easier.
  5. Topic looks great, I love all the detail and your current progress. While reading your post I went from liking, to disliking, to liking, to disliking, to liking those graphics again. I am still trying to decide lol. Please keep us updated! I will let you know when I make a final decision for myself
  6. I played it last night. You met all qualifications, I didn't play for very long but I didn't notice wind fighting against me if that is what you added. It was mostly gravity that was the issue
  7. I honestly like this better. (I think)
  8. Welcome to the site Glenn, I'm glad to see you around!! It's been awhile
  9. Warm welcome being sent out to Rob Janes who has now entered our Hall of Fame!!! Thanks so much for the donation bud!
  10. This is actually 132. H3lp and Damian broke the count like 3 pages back....
  11. That escalated quickly....... 122 finals
  12. Marked as solved. Let me know if you have any other issues porting that code
  13. Replace vector with System.Drawing.Point
  14. Hey Rob, nice to see you coming back around! (Congratz on the new job?) -- Last you were here you were still running with the ambulances, do you like this one better? Steve, I don't think we've met either here or at Eclipse. Welcome! I'm glad to see some new faces around here!

It is a great framework. Only reason we are not using it is because I want my code to work within Unity someday. No need to stress test, it passes.
  17. Hi there! Welcome to AGD! Yeah, I often use use Unity for fun and for work. It is super powerful and has many applications. If you want to quickly pump out games Unity is one of the ways to go. Look for Unity tutorials, there are a ton of them out there! If you have questions post them here, I will be more than happy to help out. -JC
  18. Great idea guys, lets see how quickly we can fill up the database and crash the site 66
  19. Cornflower Blue <3 Must be monogame Looks good though, keep it up!
  20. I personally don't find this very funny. But I absolutely want to stop this from growing into a "let's bash eclipse" thread by any means. Not going to have that here, or anywhere else on this site. Yes, you are banned on Eclipse, Crest -- but is that new? Thought you were banned months ago?
  21. Administrative fix of the count: 32. Count = Reply # + 1 (because of the original post)
  22. It is the same I variable you use in your for loop.
  23. Hall of Fame! This is where those who have donated to us are honored! Joe (@Kibbelz) and I (@jcsnider) have always planned on funding the site but any donations help alleviate the financial burden of doing so. We are forever grateful to your contribution and for helping us keep the lights on! So without further ado, please help us in saying thanks to the following members! «ace» Abyss Acheron_VI Adaewin Aermaend Aesthetic Ainz Ooal Gown AisenArvalis Alatar Aldimun AlfyG Ambard Ariel AriusII Artheios Arufonsu Austermann Authentic Azerdeath Azurn Baerchen Beast Boyz Beefy Kasplant biosboy4 Blestro Blinkuz boasfesta Boat buu Capivarinha caranille carlosgaviria Cheshire Chronos Craig1020 croc_god cronos3k Cuddleheart CyntaxX Damian666 davidsaid06 Daywalkr djkic doudoupoi eins Emilio Erassus Eridonis Ertzel EVOLV Fitzgerald Fitzgerald_III Fourarmedman Fyfyre gallighanmaker Gallus gaveitatry General Awesome George Gibier Giligis Golbi gooby greenrangermatt Grizzy Guite Emortal h3lp Hanox Henry Hiai Hickie Hitz hra intristin izakt JBosc Jeb JuliaFerryman Jumpahead Justn Jzilla KeenVenQC Khaikaa Kibbelz Kidlion KingFluffyBuns KonigDerZerfall Lathander LemonDave Little Pixel lpanic Lunam Lyim Matthew S megafrom Mighty Professional minkflow muxebv Neeknog Nimbus nizate Nox Oddly oOScuByOo or3o Otu Owellow panda panda_bot Peaverin Pentacle Phenomenal Pigot PinkAngel PixelFox Pixellife PouletRoti PrincessNoodlelimbs Puppy Python Panda Rafferty Raku Ranqe Rayslay Recoil Refur Richy Rob Janes SarcasticSloth24 SebWulf Sethis Shenmue Shilo Siidney Sinerau sittingnut Skaveron Smoot SoloBergy spaphy starlord STeeL Sweet Candy sythmanG Teppy TheMeq TheNuclearWolf Timty Toahst tortadelabarda trollface Tron Undead Uranochos UseresU Vaiku Vallorz varinyc Vhaeriel vinurd Vus wamac WereAlpaca Weylon Santana Wishbone Cutter wishy XerShade XTRS Zetasis A special spot I think we should reserve for people we want to remember! @Dr.House She will be missed If you would like to join the hall of fame you can donate by visiting our support page!
  24. Map Grid and Closed Alpha Bug Fixes Dev Blog 10/19/2015 News/Updates Dev Blogs have been rather quiet with closed alpha and everything else going on so I am going to catch you up on recent developments. First off, closed alpha has worked out rather well. Those testing the engine found dozens of small bugs for us to fix but nothing too major so far. Secondly, I am working on a new feature, something that has presented itself to be needed when working in large worlds. This is a tool that will show you an overview of your world setup. You can find your current world boundaries, where the map you are currently editing (in orange) is located in world space, and even pull up a preview of your world from a distance. See below for screenshots of this new system. Content/Show Off Map Grid: As always, feel free to post comments and questions below! We are excited to hear your thoughts on our progress!
  25. You've got me inspired. Once Intersect is out..............................................
