  1. I was mading a little launcher. How it works: BIG UPDATE I have all the morning working on it , and now works! -Added repair button. Set the version to 0 and redownload ALL the files DOWNLOAD HERE: SOURCE + UPDATE + BUG FIX: http://www.ascensiongamedev.com/resources/filehost/90592f0f90853fa19597b1f4105714e3.rar This launcher can update your game by zip files, no need to be huge files, you can update a tileset for example madin a zip with the folder/resources/tilesets, and put only the tilesets you want replace/add HOW IT WORKS is based on two files, the "news" txt file and the "version" txt file: News file Version file the colors goed crazy on code box... This is my custom version
  2. the problem is your router sure have dinamic local ip and external dinamic ip, the external ip you cant fix it but in your pc hardware config you can put a fixed ipv4 and dns and you dont have to open the port again for every ip you get. at least for a solution for external dinamic ip you can set a dns name with a service called "no-ip duc" you open this program and you can replace your ip by yourgame.servegame.net or something like that, for external conections. the program replaces the ip automatically all time it change and you havent to stay changing it on the client. well.. im spanish and im not sure if im explaining very good but its what works for me dynamic local ip: the ip your router gives to you every time you turn on the pc/changed on ipv4 interface config your router dont give you an ip. you set the one you want and still same forever. public/external dynamic ip: the ip your internet company gives to your router, usually it changes when router turns off/reset or a period of time./setting no-ip dns program opened the name always send the connections to your ip because them get the ip automatically. other idea is create a launcher, and host the config on dropbox, and when the ip changes you update the file and you dont need to stay posting and explaining every ip change. i hope this will helpfull. good luck, if you need more help you can send me a private message
  3. other program is running on same port , try to change your game port, the old 4500 gives problems, i used 25565(as example) and worked fine

I was working a looooooong time ago with sound and i made a program. that program mades you capable to create music with sound frequences. and export to wav and stuff well. ¿how you create the music? CODING WTF yes, coding you put tempo, and start coding , for example putf(frequence,duration) as frequence number for made thing easiest i put a midi to my code format conversor you just take a midi and it decodes to the scrypt itself(you dont need codecs). prupose of this? well. you can made a retro sound music, like mario NES and work with it and you can port musics maded for aduino code to this, and works xD just a beep music engine. you can put the lib on the game and charge your custom music direcly, or encrypt them or something, and if you compress the size will be diminute well... what do you think about it? it accepts midi and the main code for now. the code still dirty , but works FOR NOW ONLY ACCEPTS ONE NOTE AT SAME TIME, and is VERY EARLY STATE for now its primitive but it works, and well its simple THE IMAGE IS AN IDE FOR TEST THE SOUND CODE, the idea is be a .DLL who anyone can create any project there will be options like bytestream of sound and some things like that There is a sound result from code showed in the image(wav file)(mario music) https://www.dropbox.com/s/evv1hpy4s3zudij/Marioexample.wav?dl=0 mariowithwaits.txt https://www.mediafire.com/file/3qtozcy2buh90t0/CSound.rar Im waiting your opinions!
  11. it tooks automatically your pc ip, the router ip and try port fordwarding but you need upnp active or something i dont rember... i preffer open them manually , just put to your pc a fixed local ip and open the port with your own router configuration guide. i recomend more than nothing. is MUCH better.   13. i upload to mediafire because i can get it saved for later pruposes, i have all on folder well, for now the progress is just a splash and a press start screen and gravity test. And im trying to do smash bros style i mean you can move into the map with few plataforms but isnt smash bros itself. im not doing a copy. or recreating the pùre smash bros engine. also the chars gonna get lifebar or hitcount , like hearts or something, i dunno but is an idea Sorry but is still unapreciable so for now is just a movement test with a shitty sprite. i gonna put a video edit:there is the video into an spoiler in the main post
  14. well to do that it has simple explain¿also?... for tilesets you can configure it in config file on server folder and about mapping ------------------------------------- there are 2 types of maps "connected" and "unconnected" for outside i use connecteds and to go inside i use unconnected maps, because the unconnected maps dont show others , i just put a warp event in the door outside and inside and PUFF! all is working IM NOT ENGLISH SO I DONT KNOW IF IM EXPLAINING GOOD BUT I THINK THIS INFO CAN HELP O_O

Hello all, i was asking on this post what kind of project do... you really answer me but before a insidemind battle i decided to do an Smash Bros Style Combat Game/Engine why i put the description like this? Because isnt an engine itself. just gonna have parameters to add new chars and stages... but made internal menu locations and buttons diferent gonna be hard. aswell also gonna go far i was doing a test in MonoGame OpenGL , ported from xna project This file is a test of scrolling background, png loading and basic gravity and phisics system. There are no animations for the char and obiously this dont gonna be the type of char the game gonna have, so dont worry. Is just a test about what i can do... for now...   21. sounds nice, the old style rpg you do is cool, im sure you gonna go far if you continue, im gonna give you some i did myself this sprite is 5 years old xD i did my self soo long time ago i was trying to imitate rambo but i failed miserablely xD (this one is what i was using as example)
  22. yea that was the point -------------------------------------- im just stucked in logo fadeout and fps show for now i used the intersect default gui background... im sure you dont care, almost i have a lot of alternatives at least im doing into sfml lib instead of xna because of perfomance. a cool dude is helping me so much
