Your location on your profile doesn't reflect that.

Oh lmao let me fix it.

  3. I don't live on a tiny island with a bunch of Magikarp surrounding me. ┐(´д`)┌ヤレヤレ Obviously.
  4. My progress update: PoGo Progress - 2016/12/28 08:30JST Still no Gyrados.
  5. Epic unending waste of time, trying to find something to do that I won't feel is a waste of time. That is my hobby (also my life). Currently since I'm in Japan it's been a lot of PoGo, once I get back to the US I'll likely be coding (with no actual resulting product) or continuing my roflstomps in EU4. v~v
  6. The people on Mars will get massive lag though. Their ping will be north of 500000ms on average (this is actually a true statement, not just a random large number, actual average is roughly 750000ms).
  7. @jcsnider Doesn't take enough steps forward on Intersect.

  8. I think this is true, however at this point I think ripping it from ROMs is now possible so... Also, ripping the graphics from PC games, even the 2D ones, is generally harder to do via screenshot.
  9. First rule of cryptography is to never roll your own. JC could very easily implement a generic means of asset protection that won't be magic key to every kingdom. This is significantly easier said than done to be honest. Someone lazy enough to use assets from other developers isn't going to go and extract assets from screenshots.
  10. And the only other two people who've posted in the thread (besides Marsh of course) didn't even get one. :|
  11. While all the codes are already taken I now know I can run Steep. :>
  12. Pretty sure JC has already gotten Intersect running on Android and the browser through Unity, but he isn't going to release incomplete libraries he doesn't have the time to support while the entire engine is in alpha.
  13. To the first thing: the GOP thought they could control Trump, they thought he couldn't possibly win the GOP primary, guess what: they couldn't control him, he won the primary. Now he won the election. If they think they control a pompous, self-righteous, bigoted, foolish person of such epic proportions they are clearly delusional. There have been two things that have held true without doubt in the past year: we haven't heard everything there is about Hillary, we have no fucking clue what Trump is going to do next. To the second: He is the face of America. Just because we have diplomats that can talk to their political counterparts doesn't mean the entirety of the world's populace will not hate us because of what the wrinkled angry tangerine that just got elected says and does. Eventually the current politicians in other countries will retire, to be replaced by people who are currently just part of the populace, what happens then?
  14. I'm banking on the GOP shredding itself between the pro-Trump and pro-Hillary camps to block the shit out of Trump. That being said I have no idea what in the literal hell Trump is actually going to do, his policy ideas have literally been all over the place.
  15. The President can royally fuck up international relations. Congress can't make decisions for other countries.
  16. I need to go find my plane ticket to Canada or my cyanide pills, I want out. I didn't ask for this shit.
  17. Regrets setting alarm for 6:30…

    1. Oddly

      Oddly

Regret1: dealing with crest at 7am on agd

I can agree to that too. :P

  18. Perhaps not, but it sounds exactly like college.
  19. Wait I thought you were focusing on school while you were away...
  20. I mean, if a game has altered source code that's the prerogative of the developers for it, but it's not like the engine is going to be perfect at "2.0", there will always be more improvements that JC can make, and maybe he will even want to make major changes. It's not like because a game that was designed for Unreal 3 had source modifications that Epic shouldn't have made Unreal 4 because not all of their games could be automatically updated like games that didn't change the source. Basically, this seems like a totally useless debate and I'm not sure why you're trying to declare something finished at a specific version number when you don't even have control authority over the source code, and it's not even released yet. :/
  21. By 2.0 you're referring to 2.0 of the full release, not Beta? Also, why does it matter? If JC wants to continue working on it why not let him?
  22. I'm aware, I was just saying he should remove it before even giving it to you. Security should never get skimped on.
  23. Not sure why Kibbelz would give you a database with any user info (at least password data, even if it is hashed). @Kibbelz If you surprise me and release your copy to anybody, this is me reminding you to strip out any personal information yourself (DOB, passwords, etc).
  24. If Microsoft can't be assed to have public support in the form of documentation and what not for VB6 (and people still want to use VB6), why in the hell are we going to waste time and money to preserve information that is objectively of significantly less worth?
  25. I'm going to be amazed if someone good would buy Eclipse. Virtually all of Eclipse is worthless, and the thing that is worth the most, but virtually worthless is the email list. Quite frankly there are a vast swarms of wholly incompetent people, shitty people, bots, and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if there's a dead person or two on that mailing list, so really there isn't a point in using it when almost all of the good people have explicitly walked away with intention to never return in any meaningful capacity. What any game development community needs now is, like everyone has said for a while now, new and interested talent, and a new source base that is not in Visual Basic anything, and Intersect is the closest to being there, but from what I've seen with a decompiler, Intersect has the same pitfall of Eclipse Origins and its predecessors, a core structural design that's now nearly 17 years old. Basically, the mailing list is virtually worthless, the data more so, so what reason do we have to keep it around? Sure, redirect the domains to here, or even to the Mana Source project websites (which has arguably been a superior and from what I am aware independently formed sibling for years now), but other than the domains we don't need what's left. Using or trying to use the rest is like eating crumbs in a sandwich shop to prevent your inevitable starvation.
