Thanks guys! Appreciate the feedback! I actually started working up the cityscape, just trying to get it to blend well with the text and I think it will look pretty cool. Gonna keep pumping these out because it's more fun than I originally intended haha. -

Hey everyone, Me and some friends were wanting to start a little side project involving film & music. In addition to filming, acting and playing out sketches I plan on creating some pretty cool stuff (visually). I worked up a logo and wondered what you guys thought? The aim here is to tap into your nostalgic memories. I want you to look at the logo and our works and feel like you're in a different place or a different time while maintaining a grasp on reality (if that makes any sense). Anyways, let me know what you think! It's extremely simple, I kind of wanted to keep it that way.

They're making it easy and open for developers because in the past it wasn't like that when all of the other platforms were easier to develop for. For example, when I went to GDC in 2013 everyone BUT Nintendo had a lot of exciting things going on (PS4, XBone, mobile GPU revolution, etc...). What did Nintendo have? Unity support. They literally only showed off the fact that they support Unity for game development. Not impressed, and since then they haven't done much beyond that to impress me. of course, I love their IP's. I love Zelda, Star Fox, DK, etc... But I like more games than that and I happen to like a lot of games that aren't even on the console. I'm an avid RPG player. We don't see companies like Rockstar, Bethesda and CD Projekt Red releasing their big hits on Nintendo consoles. Call of Duty ports are always forgotton, etc... Sure, of course EA, Ubi and 2K will have games for Nintendo, they are "publishers". Here's some examples of games they published for Nintendo consoles recently: EA: http://www.ea.com/wiiu * Notice how the website is broken Ubi: http://wiiudaily.com/ubisoft-wii-u-games/ 2K: https://www.2k.com/games?genre=ALL&platform=WII Uâ„¢&sortOrder=1 * Last game being one released in 2012 So yeah, of course there will be 3rd party games but let's be real here, it won't get much better than that unless they provide developers with the POWER they need to put their work on the big screen.

Great updates! You guys are really making some good progress, keep it up! -
I'm not enjoying it :[ I work so much all I can do is walk around my building. I have a Charmander, Paras, Sandshrew and Cubone. Gonna keep it though, I'm sure I'll run into random cool things but I can't see myself 'actively' playing this.

From what I see so far, you're definitely moving in the right direction! Might be just what the community needs, Steamers would probably go crazy with something like this, considering it's much easier to pick up than something like Unity.

Thanks guys, glad to be here! There's a couple of guys that grew into the industry from these communities which is pretty cool. Still though, there's something special about this niche corner in games. I'd love to see one or more of these projects make it onto a platform like Steam. Hell, I have a friend who has a game published on PS4 and soon to XBO, when can I see a good 2D ORPG make its way to one of those platforms *applies more pressure haha*?

Hey all, name is Jeff and like Jc, I started years ago with a Mirage-based engine called "Elysium". Then, I learned how to program in VB6 which really kick-started my passion for game development & programming. Since, I've graduated from High School (yeah I was that annoying 13 yo years ago), graduated from College (B.A.S in Game Development from Full Sail) and landed a dream job at Rockstar Games as a Game Designer. I never thought I'd be a designer, it always intimidated me because I've always been more of a technical nerd but I suppose my mind does have a good sense of imagination and creativity after all. I no longer dabble in indie-development or these MMO engines anymore but I've always had an attachment to these communities that will never rest. So while I may not be developing anything here, I'll gladly check our your projects, offer feedback and just try to have some fun with like-minded individuals. The engine here looks like a great start and the editor is very impressive looking IMO. Hoping to see big things come out of here.

Had no idea that this place even existed until the domain change. I thought Eclipse was sold again.
