Does this work on Playfab?

Question

Posted

Hi, i'm new to the whole server thing and while looking for one I discovered https://playfab.com/ . If a game like Skara an mmo 3d game is able to help create multiplayer, then it should be possible to use it on Intersent engine. The only problem is, I don't know what i'm doing wrong, it could be the free version but doubted. I really try to find what playfab wants but the tutorial section does not give clear examples. All it ask me to do is download the SDK, write the code and zip it all together.

I'm only forces on getting the server up and test it with people, there is only 2 maps with warps. The idea is to give them the client and all they need to do is register then play. So baby steps all the way to lunch day. Does anyone know what I need to do or what i'm doing wrong?

Based on a quick glance, it seems this would require the entire server to be built around their framework. So I doubt that's possible right now.

thanks, i guess i'll try finding another server.

I doubt there's any free solutions, but if it's just for development or your friends you could try hosting it on your desktop machine, then move it to a VPS once it gets more serious. (Either Windows or Linux, it runs on both)

I believe so, as long as you edit your client's configuration appropriately.

@lalailas You need to open up your server folder and edit the configuration file to your ip and port then setup hamachi (I think that's it)

Uhm, client. Not server.
