REPTILE Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Has anyone tested max players per map before something bad happends?  Id like to know that number. Wundering if it could handle 30-40 people fighting on one map.
0 Giligis Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 We never really tried, we don't have the amount of people to try, so I guess the best bet is to try it and see what happens, if there is bottlenecks, I assume JC can/will handle them.Â
0 REPTILE Posted November 21, 2016 Author Posted November 21, 2016 Im guessing it can handle alot after reading about the way it uses maps.Â
0 raeven Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 It would be nice doing a stress test. We might do one when we reach beta... A long way up until then though ^^ Â By the way and as it's kind on topic, is there any kind of "lod" system going on? I mean, if you make a really huge zone by connecting literally hundreds of maps, they won't load all at the same time for the players, won't they? Cause I imagine that would be a bummer for people with slower hardware. Right now our first zone is pretty hude and my computes still gets over 60fps everywhere, but mine is a beast and I won't buy a server yet just to test that.
0 Damian666 Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 its loaded when needed indeed, no worry
0 Giligis Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 The map system loads 9 maps at a time, if I listened to JC thoroughly (which I do, sometimes XD). So it will load 9 connected maps around you, so that no matter what the maps you need are going to be loaded.Â

Thats nice Giligis 1
