YES!!! Been waiting for this one. I think I am going to go ahead and do a clean install and just start from scratch at this point. What I really want is 8 directional movement. Once source is out this will be my number one priority. An engine as great as this should have 8 directional movement. You guys are slowly moving us out of the stone ages (VB6) so how about moving us out of the horrible 4 directional movement as well. Great job on B3 everyone. More tutorials will soon be added

Great job Panda. We are all so excited about the future of Intersect. I personally can't wait to tear into v3 and get my game on track. Best of luck and hope to see your hard work pay off.

We have been working hard at Ambardia Productions updating our old out-dated web site for this new cms Word Press site. We just want to welcome everyone check it out. We still have a lot of work to do on it but it is really looking nice so far. www.ambardia.com

If you are using the Intersect game engine you left click to pick up items. However you have to click away from the item to do so. If you put your cursor on the item and left click it will not pick the item up. You have to move your cursor away from the item and be standing on the item then left click to pick it up. I don't understand why this is the way it is but that's the way you do it.

It's great to have you, welcome

This would make a great video guide, however I defiantly want to wait till the next update is out for this. This would be a good one to do NotAzizele. I have already pulled together some information for just such a video. I will put this top of the list for now. Thanks.

Hey everyone. I'm a little bored as of late waiting for a new Intersect update. Throw some video guide suggestions at me and I will see about getting one of my nice video guides out for it. Thanks.

Thanks man, means a lot.

Intersect will always require PCs with OpenGL 3.0. Make sure you have OpenGL 3.0. Most newer pc have this but if your running on something older then you may be in trouble.

Ty all so much. My wife says you are all wonderful people. Malcolm was like our child. I know he was just a dog but he was really a great dog. We spent a whole year looking for the right dog. We did not just run out and get one. We had 4 of the most fantastic pet years together you could ever ask for. We totally thought we had many more to come. I am 47 years old and this is the first time ever that my cheeks are puffy and swollen from crying. My buddy is gone and I would do anything to just be able to cuddle him one more time. This hurts so much. I post here because you all are the closest thing I have to a community. I wish I could contribute more. I wish I could be more engaging. I look at all of the wonderful posts for this fantastic game engine and I see all of your efforts and struggles. I plan to stop working on Ambardia Reborn now. I have several very interested parties that would like to help me get Ambardia into the fast track for a Steam green light publication. I think it's time to pull my most trusted friends and developers together and get the ball rolling. 11 years ago I discovered Eclipse. Within weeks I had developed the frame work of Ambardia. I posted that Ambardia would be one of the biggest and best games to ever come out of Eclipse. The trolls wasted no time tearing my ass apart. I'm so thankful there's not as much of that here. Ambardia will be one of the best Intersect games this community will ever see. I hope to be able to not only develop my game but help all of you out as well. Your support and caring means the world to me. Ty

Me and my wife lost our beloved dog Malcolm yesterday. He was only 4 and we looked forward to so much more time with him. We are heartbroken. I have found him a new home running free in the gardens of Ambardia!

My suggestion is to just start mapping out your world and adding in the known good elements until the next updated version comes out. I have some core engine problems too so mapping and getting in all my assets is my plan.

Dascribe, go watch these videos. You don't even have to know French to be able to follow along. He answers every one of your questions.

Game Life Forge | Official Trailer 2017
Ambard replied to SkywardRiver's topic in Design & Creativity
Very well done. Not to long. To the point. Makes me want to play. -
Very good points. Once the source comes out it is going to get even more exciting around here.

I have been playing and developing 2d games for a very long time. I have found that the most successful 2d games have 3 very distinct things in common. #1 is a high score system. Overall high scores and skill level high scores. #2 is a good guild system. The ability to create guilds and assign guild roles and have a guild hall to interact in. #3 is a war system. A programed war events system that guilds can attend and battle each other or npc's for bragging rights. Some of the best and simplest 2d mmo's out there have a system that allows wars to be fought and seasons to be recorded on a guild winners web page on the games web site. All 2d games must have these three very basic sytems written within there engine if any game ever has a chance of attracting a fan base. At Ambardia, we coded in all these things. They were extremely successful and continue to be successful right now as I write this. Please try to add these to the core of the Intersect game engine. here is a great example of what I am talking about: https://atulos.com/arena-wars Ambardia will have these things and I hope Intersect adds these to their base system.
-
Agreed. What I have done is just a simple base. However, there are some people out there who just want to make a game without coding and this is a great way to do that. What I did is just a neat way of showing how Intersect is powerful and fun enough to appeal to a wide variety of game developers no matter what there level of expertise may be.
-
Thanks everyone. I'm glad you all liked it. Hope I can find other tricks to post about.

Decided this needed its own post. Just figured out how to make and use mini-maps in the Intersect game engine! This is so exciting. I hope this video helps some of you out. No coding required!

Here is another fun video of some of the behind the scene development for Ambardia. Here I show you how we made a dungeon and some of the steps you will need to take for your own dungeons. I hope seeing it in action helps out. Let me know if you all would like to see something specific being done and I will work on a video for that. Cheers!
