  1. Alright if that's the case, how do I fix the players are warping back when they move? I haven't had that problem with XtremeWorlds or Eclipse before, in instances where I was on WiFi and across the house from the router.
  2. I have port forwarded as well. But I'm currently checking out my routers firewall. I'm just asking the people on my Discord to test it out
  3. The screenshot should be able to be seen now. Apologies on that one. but the error I'm concerned with is as I put in my post. As for the router's firewall... I can't believe I've never thought of something like that. I've had people connected to my server no problem but they say they are getting warped backwards as they move.
  4. Hey guys so I've got a problem. Every time I throw the server up I get the error "UPnP Service Initialization Failed. You might not have a router, or UPnP on your router might be disabled", then it throws nothing but this in the logs: 2018-05-16 02:06:50.702 [Info] Database backup at 2018-05-15 08-06-50 took 277ms 2018-05-16 02:06:51.182 [Info] Listening on 0.0.0.0:5400. I've also attached a screenshot of what my server says when I throw it up. What exactly is it I must do to fix this problem? I have UPnP enabled on my router settings, my computer and I also have the server.exe allowed through my firewall.
  5. How would I go about something like if my character was moving down or facing down it would set the variable to 0-3?
  6. So I'm just wondering, are the sprite sizes only allowed to be 32x32 and 64x64? Or can I do something like 48x48? Edit: I figured it'd be faster just to resize a sprite and check myself, and they do work!
  7. I thank you for your kind words, and your interest as well! This has a long way to go so we'll have to see what kind of things I can manage to do with this. As for engine limitations, I had a way around that. Just code it yourself. haha I had one game back in highschool where you just roamed the Zelda 1 map as Samus on the Android. Didn't have any enemies but still cool. Yeah their entire event system just works amazing. Thought I'm sure myself much like many other people, can't wait until it's open source. As for the moves, I've played around with them for a bit and had Ember, Water Gun, and Vine Whip shooting off each of their respected elements off in three directions in front of the player, as well as had them just shoot a straight projectile. Still trying to figure the move system out, but I wanted to see if this would grab any attention before I put more than a couple nights worth of work in to it. These graphics ended up coming from Heart Gold and Soul Silver, I most certainly will be improving them. I'll try to keep it with HG/SS tiles, but I'm gonna try to get the Kanto side of the tileset. Mostly what I got was off Johto tiles so I just made that work. I honestly should've just gone with Fire Red and Leaf Green tiles. I'll consider changing the size of my sprites, but looking at the photos, I'm kind of convinced that that's how big those Pokemon would actually be compared to the surrounding lol Thanks, I agree that it's a big improvement! I went back and looked at my maps on the XtremeWorlds project and saw how little attention I paid to detail after I made the ones on Intersect and got so disappointed lol it was many years ago but still. I also had one other mapper working for me who kind of did things the lazy way and squeezed so much on one map. I haven't gotten around to that part yet, just a couple nights in to working on this. Honestly, with my knowledge (so far) of the Intersect engine, I'm kind of stumped on that one! We'll have to see
  8. Hey guys! So I haven't gotten in to the whole game making scene in a couple years now. But I've had a project from back when XtremeWorlds was still popular, this one is actually at least 7 years old now, and I wanted to share that. How it was back that attracted a lot of people to it on XtremeWorlds. Though that community had many more fan games than this one does, so I wasn't quite sure how you all would receive it. I decided to share it in the end anyway. Kanto Online was a sort of remake of Pokemon Red, except you played as the Pokemon. It had a well balanced combat system, though the player growth system could've used some work. A few of the tiles also felt out of place. You were able to start as all 4 starters you could get in the game, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Pikachu. I had a fully working evolving system as well as a "move learning" system. When I had the server active on that game during the day I had around 6-8 people playing it. That was only a couple of weeks in to development, too! I also had XtremeWorld's creators bless the game with his presence. Anyways, enough talk about it, here's some screenshots of what it turned out to be: Here's Pallet Town: Route 1: Viridian City (most of it, at least): Aaaaand, a Pokemon Center. Just a few nights ago, I had and idea. To remake this game, but use a way more feature-filled engine. This idea was very intriguing to me, so I played around with porting tilesets and sprites over. That didn't work out exactly had I imagined, considering XW uses sprites and tiles in separate images, all of them 32x32 instead of sheets. So I ended up finding some new ones I had to only put little work in to getting them to mostly work with Intersect's engine. It ended up taking me a couple of nights for some tiles and sprites, but they ended up coming out alright. Then my next aim was to get some music and know-how on intersect's engine, considering I was used to coding in small things, as well as I started out with scripting on XtremeWorlds. After a little while I had some maps created and ended up getting an evolution and move learning system working (The evolution one won't be necessary for a little while but hey, just to get the hang of events). Here are some screenshots of what I've got of the game so far. My World Map so far: Pallet Town: Route 1: And Viridian City: So that's that. Please let me know what you guys think of this, I'm look forward to any and all replies! Thanks, Extin
  9. May you please show me how quickly? they're crucial to the kind of game I'm making Edit: Figured I'd explore the engine a bit and for this instance I don't need direction blocks. Though I am interested in Z Dimensions, I will look in to it.
  10. Just wondering how I'm able to make a sort of direction block. can't walk in to one tile from one direction but from another you can sorta thing.

I'm going to start working on porting this over to Orion+ but I'll leave this one online for the time being in case anyone wants even a small taste of what I hope to accomplish with this fan project

They are in sheets now! (New ones that is, not the same ones I have in this game)

That's the kinda thing I wanted to hear, if you've used XW you know that it has a very difficult graphics system. With Orion I was able to (seemingly) make all my characters and tiles work out perfectly, just can't get the client to work.

Hey guys server went down last night I guess for some reason but it's back up now! Also on this conversation, I want to continue it I just need to see that people will play it before I do, make sure it's worth continuing right?
