Others can't connect via external IP

Riggity_Richard121

Question

Other people can't connect via the external IP. However, I can connect via the external IP just fine. Hamachi also does not work. I have tried this on 2 separate networks (both Spectrum).

Server console:

netdebug:

I am using a Windows computer. Router model number is "R6300v2", router firmware version is "V1.0.3.6_1.0.63CH". Have made exceptions in Windows Firewall, and tried disabling Windows Firewall/Defender entirely. This is a home network. There is only one router and no network switch at the moment.

I think it has something to do with the software on this computer but I don't know exactly what that might be.

I have tried hosting a web server as well and it works fine, so the problem is specific to Intersect

If our server can see that your game is public then your port forwarding is fine.

If players cannot connect then something on their network is blocking the outbound connection (which is very rare/unlikely) or their client config is wrong. (Does not include your external ip or wrong port.)

I have confirmed that the external IP and port are correct in their config; everything else has been left default.

Also, 3 people have attempted to connect, to no avail.

I know this. Neither connecting with the external IP nor Hamachi work.

Well if none of these works its clearly an firewall issue (the windows build in one or an antivirus, but never tried this on hamachi).

You can try this vpn service trial and get an static ip to try to pf with it if works there then the issue is on hamachi: https://vpnstaticip.com/download/ (It would benefit you to purchase an static IP from your ISP more then using online VPN services though or even a VPS would do perfectly (for production).

I already have a static IP and I've made the required Firewall exceptions, and also tried disabling firewall/antivirus completely
