How to erase tile

How do I erase a single tile from a layer? If I click on the erase tool and left click it erases the whole layer. If I right click it asks if I want to delete the whole layer. I have tried right clicking with a tile selected but it does not work. How do I erase a single tile on a layer.

I am a idiot, its right click when the pen tool. It is now working. Make sure your on the right layer.

Tip: Left-clicking with the erase tool doesn't actually clear the whole layer, it only clears tiles of the same tile you clicked on next to each other.

Another Tip: You can right-click to clear the layer.
