You can see over on the right, in the water, I have placed 3 of these fishing spots but, in-game they are invisible but, functioning.
-
But really though all joked aside do you know of a solution lol. I've never had tbis issue before, but i jist started a new project with new version. Havent done this for a while but I did all the right steps lol
-
That's why I said if needed and attempt lol hard to show what isnt appearing lol

I made the sprites in Photoshop, exported them as transparent png, the resource I made was placed into the resource folder, and the items I made were placed into the items folder. The resources appear in the editor in the resource editor as well as on the map, and the items appear in the item editor but not on the map via the item spawn attribute. When loading the game via the client, after making sure to save the map and restart the server, the resource and item sprites appear as invisible yet still usable. I hope this explains my situation clearly. If needed I can attempt to get screenshots but, i am at work currently posting via my phone.

Unsure if this is a bug or not but, I've made some sprites for some resources and items in-game. They appear properly in the editor but, come live-game they appear invisible. Anyone know if I possibly did something wrong?

Editor only loads in so many tilesets. So, my attempt at my method was invalid. Lol
-
I understand the point of tilesets haha, I've just already created the map via photoshop, and due to the size of it, it would be much much quicker for me to just "import" it via tilesets since I don't really need to modify it, other than just adding in blockings and what not. I will let you know my findings.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched in the answered questions section. I am curious if there is a limit to the amount of tilesets that can be added into the resources. I'm currently porting a HUGE map that I made via photoshop, its around 594 32x26 Intersect Map squares in size, and I've exported them all as 32x26 images to import as tilesets, and just add in whatever blocking I need. Bellow is an example of exactly what I mean by I've exported them as 32x26 images as per the intersect map size.

I just went ahead and enlarged my image so that a 32x32 pixel group is the size of 1 tile, and now im just slicing the image to transport into the game as a tileset =3 works like a charm

Not one small map, one small down, which is over 100 map squares big. Lot of detail haha. And thanks for that insight. Also, I've got a bachelors in computer science, and have been working on game development for quite some time, plus, I'll never give up haha!

Hello, I am curious if there is a way to turn a pixel image, into a tilemap with intersect. I've got an image of my entire world map, and it would be AWESOME if I would be able to just convert it. Obviously the tiles would need to be fixed into what I want them to be but, just being able to convert the map into a tilemap would be a huge time saver for me. I've already spent over 4 days mapping out 1 small town.

You need to go into settings and just disable the security. If you go into Server Manager, under security settings, it can be found in there. As long as you only download things you know are safe, you will be fine.

I have just scrapped my previous map and am building with new tilesets. I'm always game for some critique. More details such as what? This is what the new world looks like so far.
-
Have you tried to remove the engine completely and do a fresh install of it? I had that issue when I tried to run a second instance of the engine.
-
Have you previously been using the intersect engine, or is this your very first time trying to use it?
-
Haha, sorry, I thought I had it ticked to not expire. Here is a new link https://discord.gg/d9NeEhd It's been updated on the forums as well. Thanks for letting me know!

I am sorry for your loss Ambard. I hope you and your wife cope well with it. Malcolm looks happy in the gardens of Ambardia too! Free to roam without a care in the world!

Official Website / Forums Hello AGD community, today I will be giving some information about the new ORPG game Aincrad 2D, that I have been working on for quite some time. My project started, unfortunately, as a RuneScape Private Server, in which I attempted to take the game and recreate it into something 100% new. I lasted about a year with that, when I stumbled upon the Intersect Engine. I instantly fell in-love with the engine, and have since decided to sway from RSPS completely, and work on my own legitimate and legal 2D ORPG. I know the risks of starting progress on an aspiring full-fledged ORPG with an unfinished game engine but, I have so much confidence in the Intersect team that I am willing to dive right in and get to work. Now, about Aincrad 2D. Basic Information Main Cities Towns Dungeons Quests Media

Ah, the memories looking for pictures to make one of these stirred up! Mine is quite different from yours, yet still nice to see none-the-less. My before is on the left (My cousin and myself) and the now, on the right. (Myself and my Fianceè)

Is it possible someone explain exactly how animations work? I have been fiddling with them for a little with the sprites that were provided in the initial download of the engine, and, I am failing at getting them to work properly.

I can attest I have the free trial currently, and I have full access to everything. I agree. Linux is amazing for vps use. I have used it in the past. And I intend to re-learn what I have since forgotten. This method that I've based my tutorial around is good for beginners who would like a free solution to getting started and testing. For future reference of those reading this: If you do learn Linux I suggest PuTTy for usage. It's nice and free.

So, I've seen a few topics with people asking how to make their server live for others to play, as well as, I believe, one topic that mentioned the awful Hamachi product. You should never stoop to using Hamachi. I remember using it back in '06 to run a stupid little private server (which is Illegal and I no longer support). I stumbled upon a forum thread a few years ago that mentioned an amazing way to get a good VPS for FREE. Unfortunately, it is only temporary but, I do believe you can utilize it multiple times by using a free texting app such as TextNow. ( I have not verified this ). NOTE: This is not a permanent solution for obtaining a free VPS. I only utilize this method when I am just going into testing stages and do not wish to spend money on a VPS when I can put it towards things to continue to build upon my project(s). This method IS NOT a good option to use if you intend to run your server for longer than 30 days. Now, let us get to the point! Google Cloud Computing, Hosting Services & APIs | Google Cloud Platform <---- This is the quick and easy solution to getting your server online for a short period of time, if you are on a budget, and do not wish to port forward your own IP for security reasons. How is this possible, you ask? Well, allow me to fill you in on the beauty of the Google Cloud Platform! Requirements: A Gmail Account. A cell phone w/ texting. (data charges may apply, but I have unlimited data, so I'm unsure of this) A Credit Card (You will not be charged. It states on the Google Cloud site when signing up as well. It is just to prove you are not a robot) Some basic knowledge of how a VPS actually functions Steps to obtain your free trial VPS: Step One: Obtaining your Gmail Account Step Two: Signing up for Google Cloud Step Three: Filling In Your Information Step Four: Setting up your free VPS Step Five: Setting up a password and connecting via Remote Desktop Step Six: Connecting to your VPS If you are unsure how to connect to your VPS via Remote Desktop, I recommend downloading the RDP file and just double clicking that. It is self explanatory after that. Step Seven: Opening your Port for your server. Congratulations! You have just created a free VPS and opened the ports for your server! Please remember, this is not a permanent solution for obtaining a VPS. This will be good for testing phases of your game without having to spend money that could go toward the physical development of your server. I do not support the continuous use of the Free Trial that Google graciously provides to its clients. If you intent to run the server full-time, please purchase a VPS plan with either Google or your preferred hosting site. And or, set up your own server at home. Taking advantage of a trial service puts the company out of money.

This is exactly what I wanted to hear! I am in love this this engine!

Thank you! I look forward to this.
