  1. I actually have a question that relates to the OP: I know you can create shops and such already on Intersect - would it be possible to create a system that adds whatever the player sells to that shop's inventory after it's been sold? Cheers.
  2. I think you accurately summed that up, but- correct me if I am wrong, I believe he means market stalls players purchase (table, stall, NPC) that they can place in a location and sell specific items of their choosing.
  3. Hello everyone, Recently stumbled upon Intersect. Many years ago I did a little mapping and such for a very small, now long gone game, and have just come back because I still absolutely love all of this, and still have the desire to create my own. I've already done quite a bit of reading up and now I'm moving into testing things in action. The support I've already received here has been amazing and I'm glad to have found this community and Intersect. Thanks everyone. RaalB
  4. I had another question relating to events, and if I would be able to accomplish this within Intersect: Say by default I wanted individual player names to either remain hidden or display some sort of text like "An unknown stranger", When a player utilizes a command, we will call it /in, all players within we'll say a one square radius of the player initializing the command will now be able to see that player's name. Or if I have "An unkown stranger", when that player utilizes /in, and I am near I'd then be able to see that player's name instead. Thanks again everyone. All the help is very much appreciated.
  5. I apologize for the double-post as well, also, reading through the tutorial - if I have an experience table for my skills, would I have to manually input each and every exp --> level up? (Example: if player has 5 exp, then lvl 2, if player has 10 exp then level 3, etc.)
  6. Thank you so very much for the speedy reply. It means a lot. I think by utilizing the above tutorial and the knowledge I have already I can create new skills. I honestly like having both the experience and overall levels as well. One last question I suppose while I am at it: Say I create three 'combat skills' we will call Melee, Magic, and Ranged - can I make the combined experience or combined level of these 'combat skills' directly effect the player's overall player level? I've found Intersect only recently and am refreshing my knowledge. Used a mirage or eclipse type set up a very long time ago. Thank you all again. -RaalB
  7. I know this is an old topic but it's most closely related to what I am looking for. Utilizing this guide but doing things a bit differently - is it possible to create a system for skills (we'll use RuneScape as an example) that works similarly? If I want to allow players say, to go out and purchase items necessary for harvesting materials (axes, picks, etc) and be able to use novice tools on low level resources (with lower exp gains), Gain experience, level those skills up, and be able to purchase and utilize higher tier tools on higher level resources (with higher exp gains) - Could I achieve this? I also saw this and wondered what you meant - if you remember? Is there an easier and cleaner way to create skills? I know it's been a while for this thread, but I didn't want to start a new post as this was similar.
