I wanted it all to be a little flat as possible, with only two shades (two for the boy's hair). Regarding the "dream room" I actually started with a bed, the kid, and the bookshelf and then decided to put them in a room for context purposes.

I find the UI a little too obnoxious. For example the left column is way too wide for its content, the avatar has too much space next to it.
