Want To Help Fight Cancer?

Okay, now that I've roped you in with my title..

 

Check out this thing called Folding@Home. It's a distributed computing project developed by Stanford, and it's designed to simulate protein folding. The data obtained by this is used to help develop cures for cancer and a handful of other diseases. It automatically starts up when you boot your computer, so you don't have to worry about forgetting or anything, and you can access a small web client to adjust how much power it's using and which disease it's helping for, etc.
