Anyone Work in .Net Core

So i know most of your are shameless about using .net, curious to know if any of you have worked in .net core. We're discussing moving our restful services off of java at work and are looking at pros and cons of other languages.

My coworkers are biased against nodejs, so I'm looking into php (yuck) and .net core (yucker), and maybe some compiled version of python. Let me know if any of you guys have experience in writing restful services and let me here your opinions on languages to use for one.
