Zopto95 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Hello everyone,  Some of you might remember me, some might not I'm Zopto. I used to be an active member of Eclipse origins/touchofdeath forums back in the day (around 2010+). You might recall a couple of my old side-scrolling projects based on MrMiguu's dx7 engine edition vertigo: Project Angels and Project Bubble Strikers. I was recently clearing out some old hard drives and stumbled upon my DirectX 8 edit of Project Angels that I was working on years ago. To be completely honest, I haven't touched Visual Basic 6 since around 2014–2015, so I used an claude to help clean up the codebase a bit. This build is essentially a clean MrMiguu side scrolling engine just a DirectX8 version, featuring a minimap that you can toggle/scale. Keep in mind that events aren't included in this build, but it shouldn't be too hard to add them or port them over from another Eclipse engine.    Quote Minimap Controls: Open / Close: Press M Resize: Hold the gray button and drag Move: Click anywhere on the minimap and drag  Quote VB6 Setup Note: 1. If you are trying to load the client source in VB6 and encounter errors, make sure to register the DirectX 8 library manually:    Go to Project > References > Browse... > Select dx8vb.dll > Click OK / Save. 2. Install Eclipse Runtimes that are also in folder.  Quote I belive Project Vertigo vas based on Eclipse Origins 2.0 or maybe 3.0- anywho now it has DX8 Version.    Download link dx8 : https://mega.nz/file/XPIHVaCR#IaNoTJWiPpkycEaJtSXeMrw8Ii_wBx49DV_fiTbA7J4  You can find MrMiguu dx7 version here: https://mrmiguu.itch.io/project-vertigo  Hope someone finds this useful! Cheers,  Zopto Â
