How to spawn enemies only for a player

Question

I need to spawn enemies in one of the quests, but there is a problem! When a player comes to where they appeared, they are not there, because other players kill them. I need to do so that other players could not see these enemies. Is it possible?

Instanced areas are possible, just not until source is out unfortunately.

As a sidenote, this is something that I'm sure a lot of people will want, and there will likely be a tutorial at some point if you can't get someone to code once source is released.

You could make it so that you can talk to someone to spawn that NPC when you haven't killed it yet 

 

Or only have the NPC on a map that you can only access if you haven't killed the NPC yet

Which would mean you can't kill him again.. But it's a solution nonetheless.
