Auto-event precision

Hi guys,

 

I dug trough Questions and Answered questions and stumbled upon this :

want to quickly add that if you want an event to run every 10 seconds on a map, use a map event set to autorun.  If you want an event to run every 10 seconds for everyone in the game regardless of position do the same thing but set it up as a common event in the common event editor.

 

 

I was just wondering if it was actually possible, i don't see any "Autorun" trigger in the Common Event editor.

 

As i'm interested in making such autoevents (checking variables/triggers each x seconds mostly), i wanted to confirm what would be the most efficient way to do it :) (and as a sidenote, will there be an impact on the perf ? )
