  2. Hey I've made lots of quests but they just start here and there. I was wondering if i could make something like an npc. So i could have a person to start the quest with any tips how i can make it? Because i do not what the npc to die. I don't want people come and kill people that gives quest . Is this possible?

  7. Hello. I'm using Intersect Engine Beta 4.2. The problem is that when the NPΠ‘ uses the spell it continues to move. When the main character uses a spell this does not happen. Can I fix the movement of NPS? I would be grateful for your response, I apologize for the language, it is not native to me.

  12. I was wondering, if it is possible to add a common event on a NPC, say if you interact by attacking. It will trigger a Common Event. I know you can make events that do this, but I'm talking about NPC's that spawn in and wonder around and attack you and stuff. Not events placed manually on the map. Because NPCs have some unique qualities that I'm looking for in Events. Such as Attacking/Attacking over NPCs and the ability to spawn in anywhere on the map, or spawn by a another script/event (allowing me to chain events together) I don't see a option to spawn a entity from the script lists. If not, I think it might be a good addition to the behaviour menu. I trust this might be possible once the source has been launched. But I don't know how integrated the scripting is. I was just looking for a simple, "if attacked" run a common event. For example: A wizard attacks you, you hit him once, and he poofs into a cloud of smoke. But he only spawns in once you interact with his magic mirror.
  13. Hello all, So i am just now trying out this engine and i really like what i am seeing with it. But i am having an issue with NPCs. I got them created, but getting them placed i am having an issue. I can get them added to the map but only randomly. I have selected declared but i am not seeing any option on where to declare the location. What am i missing? I am wanting to have them, like a shopkeeper, stationary nonmoving. I know how to use the NPC Avoidance blocks and such i am just having issues with this part.

  15. So I've been playing with the engine a bit more and have ran across something which has me scratching my head. How do I specify a specific location for an NPC to spawn, using the IGE Beta 2 engine? In the previous version I was able to specify the same way you would specify blocked tiles and NPC avoid areas; however, for this version I don't appear to have that as an option.
  16. Maybe this is a no brainer, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to do this. Say you want it to create an npc that has a shop. How do you go about it? Do you apply an Event to an NPC to trigger the shop when you click/touch it? On the NPC creation section I don't see how to tie the shop event to the NPC? Or is this somehow done on the Event Section? I create an event, then attach the NPC sprite to the event? I can see you can attach an animation to the event and it can roam around, but thats not an NPC directly... Or do I create an event to trigger the shop and attach an animation of an NPC just idling there? I'm a bit confused here.
  17. Hiya, I'm not home ATM so I haven't tinkered with this yet, but I'm curious and can't wait. Are entities limited to the default one size grid-style character sheets? Can you use different sized sheets with the same size ratio? More importantly, if you do not need different directions and walking animations, is there a way to use just one single picture? Like roguelike style. thanks!
