QuikSprite Help Document
This help document will hopefully help you get started if you are confused. First, let's take a look at the features.

1.)The sprite window.
2.)Gender.
3.)Background Color selector.
4.)Transparency checkbox (used to make the background transparent in the window and in the exported image.
5.)Sprite pieces.
6.)Hue selector.
7.)Zoom slider.
The usage of the program is very simple. Your first step is to gather all of the resources you will use. This can either be done by creating them yourself or check to see if there are any available assets on the internet. Each character part will go in their respective folders in the program's directory (ex. "C:\Program Files\Sprite Resources\QuikSprite\assets\boots\Male\" for a male sprite's boots). Your templates can be of any size too. Just make sure each piece's image is the same size as the base template or they will obviously not work, but this can be used to make sprites of any size and shape for games, avatars or whatever use you desire.
After having all of your resources that you want to choose from in their folders, you can start up the program and the default gender (male) should be selected. If you had the program open already, you can repopulate the gender that you currently have selected by switching genders to another gender and then back to the one you are planning to use (Remember that if you already have selected some parts that you choose to keep, you should save the project before changing genders as changing the genders will wipe out any work you have already done!).
Your next step is to start playing! Select each piece from the drop down menus and change the hue with the hue selector button right next to the piece, allowing you to come up with many different combinations. The big Button that says BG Color is used to change the background color of the image. If you want a transparent background for your sprite, check the "Transparent Background" checkbox and then choose a color with the background colors selector that is not in use in the sprite (this is very important because any color that is the exact same color as the background will end up transparent as well. You do have a large selection of colors to choose from with the background color selector however so finding a color not in use should be no problem!)
That is about it for that! If you have any questions or comments, please visit http://spriteresources.blogspot.com and leave a comment on any post about QuikSprite and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
